The Company:
Our Client is a major energy company.

The Role:

Main Job Function
• To review and approve the specification and design (by contractors) of offshore pipeline and riser systems, ensuring that it meets project objectives, industry standards and best practice for safety, reliability and cost
• To build, run and/or verify Flow Assurance Models associated with the different production loops associated with the assigned project
• To contribute with Operation Readiness personal in the preparation of operating procedures and manuals to include flow assurance issues to be used by operators
• Prepare and support the execution of training programmes of local resources to be assigned to start-up and operations teams.

Key Responsibility Areas
• Prepare or review flow assurance design basis, project execution plan, specifications and bid documents
• Perform steady state and transient simulations and analyses using industry standard software and prepare technical reports
• Prepare operating procedures and manuals to include flow assurance issues to be used by operators
• Overall technical integrity of underwater pipeline and riser system design premises, design, structural and flow assurance behaviour
• Underwater pipeline and riser system compliance with international standards, company guidelines and engineering best practices
• Defining design premises of underwater pipeline and riser system (structural and flow assurance aspects)
• Defining underwater pipeline route
• Defining riser system layout
• Supervising internal design and subcontracted design
• Planning, reviewing and following-up systems purchasing, construction and commissioning
• Flow assurance follow-up from design to start-up
• Estimating underwater pipeline and riser system cost and schedule

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Chemical/Mechanical/Petroleum Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Extensive Flow Assurance Design model experience
• At least 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry in both onshore and/or offshore facilities
• At least 3 years of experience in rigid and flowlines/riser systems engineering for oil/gas field development projects
• Languages – Fluent in spoken and written English. Intermediate/good knowledge of Portuguese language is desirable
