The Company:
One of our clients which provides the best offshore access solutions for people and cargo transfer is looking for a New Business/ Sales Developer.

The Role:
Meet sales targets on a monthly and annual basis by actively driving the sales opportunity pipeline:
Identify potential market segments and customers within these segments.
Develop a market / customer penetration strategy, to efficiently assess the opportunity of the chosen segment and customers within the segment.
Prepare and implement cold-calling campaigns to open up access to potential customers.
Drive the opportunity pipeline and report monthly back to the management on the forecast for new business.
Qualify sales and overcome objections to sales.
Close new profitable business from within the chosen market segments and customers.
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
Develop and maintain (on-going) a Sales Plan.
Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close and deliver sales and provide the accounts dept. with all relevant invoicing details, contacts, and necessary assistance to collect outstanding invoices.

Initially the person would be based in Qatar, but then there is a likelihood that the person would be moved to the UAE or somewhere else within twelve months

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Driving licence
A minimum of 5 years successful regional offshore sales experience in the GCC (preferably Abu Dhabi) with at least 2 years spent in account management or a relationship management position.
A demonstrable understanding of the mechanical engineering industry and the offshore oil and gas industry / segments that the company sells into.
The candidate must have a good grasp of Microsoft Office for use in everyday sales and business activities. i.e. PowerPoint presentation preparation for customer meetings, Excel for forecasting purposes, email for every day communication, MS Word for proposal document responses.
