The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager , within the IMO Programme team and will support the creation and management of new model introduction into current manufacturing operations. The role will also support the development of new assembly facilities proposed to deliver client's market and model growth aspirations in this key market.

The role will involve significant cross department interaction and integration between all Manufacturing departments, TML staffs, Corporate Real Estate, Product Development, Purchasing, MS&S and external consultant services. Essentially the role extends to the early execution planning for new model introductions and associated processes. The role will involve travel driven as necessary by project planning and project delivery phases. / Support the creation of the Manufacturing project delivery plan. / Support the creation/development of processes required for plan execution. / Support/facilitate cross business MEP project status reviews (weekly cadence). / Support the creation of a high level launch plan through liaison with NMP, AME, PD and HR. / Provide data inputs to reviews of project status. / Liaise with other functions to support launch plans that support new model or model year launch plans. / Develop inputs/outputs required for processes associated to plan execution across functions. / Assist in the co-ordination of tracking project expenditure.

Location: Solihull & Whitley with travel to other UK plants

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Highly motivated, confident and strong interpersonal skills. / Previous experience of launching a major product into production is beneficial. / Previous programme experience is beneficial / A strong background in Manufacturing Engineering or Product Development and launch processes preferred. / The ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision to deliver objectives. / Self-starting and resilient / ability to make progress. / Good team player / winning as part of a cross functional team is a priority. / Must have good troubleshooting skills with a strong desire to get involved / Good knowledge of MS Office Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and Project) / Good analytical / reconciliation skills with particular attention to the detail.
