The Company:
A major oil and gas operator.

The Role:
• One of two client representatives at the rig site. Responsible party for all rig site activities during night time operations and is second in command at the rig site. Responsible for informing the Day Drilling Supervisor of unplanned events during Night time operations. At times is expected to fill in for the Day Drilling Supervisor.
• Assist the Day Drilling Supervisor in implementing and supervising the drilling program in the best interests of time, cost, safety and quality. Ensure proper execution of the drilling program by the drilling contractor and service providers.
• Assist in the co-ordination of all the service companies, ensuring time and satisfactory performance. Responsible for the correction of any deficiencies.
• Assist the Day Drilling Supervisor as the onsite HS&E representative, addressing such issues and communicating the same to all site personnel.
• Identify and recommend solutions to unplanned events at the rig site with the collaboration of the Day Drilling Supervisor.
• Responsible for preparing Morning Drilling reports, cost reports, sub-contractor evaluations, and supplemental project reports as required.
• Ensures that the work is done efficiently, safely, and in accordance with the approved Groupement Berkine Drilling program, established company practices, applicable laws, and government rules & regulations (Algerian Oil & Gas Regulations).
• Assist in identifying, documenting, and implementing cost savings measures as part of the Continuous Improvement Process.
• Second in command as the emergency response co-ordinator (at the rig site) in case of emergency and must possess skill sets to remain calm and direct emergency response teams in such situations.


• Ability to work within team setting including Reservoir Engineers and G&G staff. Also will need to liaise and communicate effectively with teams both in Hassi and out in the field location.

• A strong focus on value is required.

• Position is a 28/28 rotational assignment

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent in Engineering or related discipline

Required Experience:
7 years operator/contractor drilling supervisor, Petroleum Engineering, and or toolpusher experience.
Ability to work in a remote, severe, environment on a 28/28 day schedule.
Must be computer proficient with the Microsoft Office software suite.
Must process excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Previous international experience in a Multi-cultural environment is beneficial.
Must possess exceptional inter-personal skills to manage all rig site personal in an effective manner.
Knowledge of Landmark’s Drilling Database Management Systems (OPEN WELLS) beneficial

Licenses:
Well Control Certificate - internationally recognised preferred


Additional experience/requirements:
• Valid International Drivers Licence required
• Knowledge of French an advantage
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse, remote and challenging environment.
