The Company:
Our client are a new independent oil operator in the North Sea with a dynamic management team who have exciting growth plans to develop operations further in the UKCS.

The Role:
To assist the Senior Drilling Supervisor by monitoring the on-site drilling and completion operations to ensure Safety, Technical and Environmental compliance during the execution of drilling and completion operations.
Working under the direction of the Senior Drilling Supervisor the primary function of the position will be to supervise and co-ordinate the operations offshore in accordance with the approved Drilling Programme between the hours of 18:00hrs and 6:00hrs.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (key tasks/services for which incumbent is responsible)

The Night Drilling Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Well Operations (drilling and well intervention activities) on the rig and the execution and performance of drilling, completion, workover and testing of wells.
The Night Drilling Supervisor must meet predetermined time schedules for completion of the work, within agreed financial budgets.
The Night Drilling Supervisor is responsible for co-ordination with other Departments (Materials & Logistics, Finance, Production, HSE, IT, etc.).
To work closely with the Senior Drilling Supervisor to monitor and report on all Well Operations (drilling and well intervention activities) to ensure that the Well Work Programmes are conducted safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.
To liaise closely with the Drilling Contractor’s Toolpusher for Rig based activities and the Well Services Supervisor for stand alone Intervention activities to ensure that all operations are planned and conducted safely.
Ensure that the highest Safety Standards are maintained and that all equipment and procedures are in compliance with Regulatory Authority and client requirements.
To review and have an in depth understanding of the Basis of Design, Drilling and Completion Programmes as well as any other relevant programmes.
To prepare the daily report on all ongoing activities with full identification of all failures, lost time, and lessons learned.
To ensure that any Safety Related Incidents or Operational Non-Conformance Events and appropriate actions determined, which occur, are reported immediately to the Drilling Supervisor.
To report on actions taken to correct Operational Non-Conformance Events.
Monitor the Drilling Contractor’s Operational Plans and Progress Reports and make recommendations to the Well Delivery Manager on ways of optimising performance, minimising Non-Productive Time and maximising the cost-effectiveness of operations.
To analyse operational problems in conjunction with the onshore and offshore engineering teams to assist with development of corrective actions.
To understand the client BMS and the relevant procedures and processes contained within the system. Responsible for all chemical use tracking against PON XV B and F.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills Ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrable track record in successfully leading and managing individuals and teams in an offshore environment in an effective and productive manner
High level of influencing skills
Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role and clients standards
Articulates views in a concise and constructive manner Produces work of accurate and presentable quality in the appropriate formats
Good organisational skills, SMART working methods and can demonstrate personal effectiveness in previous roles

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Appropriate industry learning and training experiences in specialised subjects such as cementing, directional drilling, etc. A demonstrable capability in one of the current breed of Drilling Reporting tools e.g. OpenWells or IDS.
