The Role:
Job Purpose:
To assist in supervising on site drilling, completion, well testing and workover operations and to ensure that all activities on site are conducted as per program in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner, complying with the Company standards and local regulations requirements.

Key Accountabilities:
• Assist the Day Drilling Supervisor in supervising the execution of the drilling-, completion-,well testing- and workover program and ensure that all operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, complying with the Company's standards
• Ensure adherence to SSHE Management System, Drilling Management System (DMS), the Vendor Management System (VMS) and the local regulatory requirements.
• Contribute in creating one team with drilling and service contractors personnel on-site with the goal to drill the wells efficiently, maintaining a high SSHE standards.
• Assist in managing drilling and service contractors on site and report on their performance.
• Assist in providing continuous, accurate and reliable information on any aspect of the operations and assist in preparing daily and other reports.
• Support the Day Drilling Supervisor in creating together with drilling and service contractors on site a positive attitude towards SSHE and assist the Day Drilling Supervisor in all aspects of managing SSHE on site.
• Contribute to pre-start drilling audits to ensure that competent personnel and adequate equipment are available for execution.
• Assist the Day Drilling Supervisor with the supply of equipment and materials required for the drilling operation, considering logistics constraints and complying with the Vendor Management System (VMS).
• Contribute in providing input for the risk management process and emergency response plans for the Drilling Operations.
• Assist in providing input for the Drilling Management System (DMS) and suggest improvements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Qualifications – Bachelor Degree in engineering or related field

• Certifications & training
- Industry training in drilling technology and HSE
- Current IWCF certificate, supervisory Surface level, and HUET

• Professional Experience
- 10 years experience onshore/ offshore drilling operations with minimum 3 years experience in on site drilling supervision
- Recent exposure to GOT oil and gas operations

Requirement of technical competency
Technical competency requirements are laid down in the Drilling Management System job competence profile (JCP). The main competency elements can be summarized as follows:
- Bit program, hydraulics, drilling mechanics / drillstring design
- Well abandonment / slot recovery, plug and abandon plan
- Third party services contracting
- Logistics management and operations
- SSHE management for drilling
- SSHE for drilling operations (onshore & offshore)
- Drillstring handling and make up / monitoring tripping operations / runni
