The Company:
An international EPC Company involved in one of the world's largest LNG developments based in Australia, as well as other energy and resource projects.

The Role:
An opportunity is available for a Night Shift Superintendent to act as the main focal point for a geographical area for all nightshift activities on site

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for the safety, accident prevention, and fire prevention programs on the project including safety orientation of new employees, implementation of safety procedures, subcontractor safety meetings, site inspections for unsafe conditions and practices and appropriate corrective action to correct all observed problems.
• Create and maintain the environment in which pursuit of excellence, zero accident and zero rework is part of the site culture.
• Monitor performance and productivity of all construction work performed mitigate for schedule slippage.
• Update and communicate the Project Execution Plan and Project Health and Safety plan
• Act as the primary site contact for all nightshift MEI&C activities, coordinate with the day shift RCM and develop a smooth transition mechanism between shifts.
• Responsible for all nightshift jobsite operations, including all on site activities of the subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
• Ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
• Work with the dayshift MEI&C Contractor Project Manager, Project Engineer, Procurement Manager, and Project Controls Manager to harmoniously deliver the project as sold or better.
• Coordinate and implement project schedules, staffing charts and material and equipment requirements.
• Responsible for effective and detailed communication to all project stake holders including client representatives, project managers, and senior executive managers, dayshift personnel.
• Plan and schedule all nightshift work activities and coordinate any subcontractor work activities on the project. Ensure a detailed hand over log is completed ever night to hand to the dayshift Supervision.
• Responsible for the review of project plans and specifications for constructability, conformance to regulatory agency requirements and productivity improvement.
• Provide technical direction and administrative guidance to staff involved in the development and application of innovative and unique construction theories and methodologies required by multiple and/or complex projects.
• Prepare and issue required Management reports.
• Interface with Labour/Industrial Relations for craft recruitment and training programs.
• Control area expenditures in assigned area for equipment, material and services and ensure that field operations are within budget.
• Ensure Company handover / punch lists, carryover works (planned and unplanned), shipped loose items and disconnects from the modules are documented and agreed on by all parties before they arrive on site.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Construction Management experience within the Construction industry, specifically for construction of LNG plants.
• Extensive experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrate ability to implement and hold field supervision, labour and contractors accountable for the successful implementation of the project's construction.
• Demonstrate success in working with, supervising, and administering labour and subcontractors.
• Strong track record for delivering projects on time, on budget with zero safety incidents and accidents.
• Strong leadership ability with the ability to inspire excellence and lead a team to a successful completion.
• Demonstrate record of strong commitment to safety.
• Strong understanding in construction means and methods on projects within the oil & gas industry.
• Demonstrate leadership, supervisory, training of technical and non-technical personnel and personnel administrative skills.
