The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
Mission Statement - Responsible for the successful execution and delivery of assigned projects for the Analytical (CWA/CGA) product lines. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, able to work well within a cross functional team environment and able to communicate clearly with management as well as peers.

Dealing with up to 5 projects at any one time

Based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, but will require visits to client offices in Cambridgeshire

Main duties and accountabilities -
Manage NPI projects to ensure agreed time to market, project / product cost and specification objectives are maintained
Ensure robust project plans are developed and updated for each project.
Take responsibility for ensuring that relevant Gate checklists & reports are completed. Prepare regular updates/reports for the project steering committee and product line / business unit management.
Pro-actively manage all project critical paths to ensure these are as short as possible and constantly tracked to minimise any slippages
Work with relevant functions (supply chain, manufacturing, product management, production engineering, service, etc) to ensure that the priorities are understood and that capabilities exist across all relevant functions to deliver on time.
Expedite and manage all functions to ensure relevant actions are completed on time.
Ensure all project risks are identified and mitigated. Reports risks to the Project Steering Committee that may impact on the scope, time to market, project cost, product cost and specification
Health, Safety and Environmental performance. Setting the climate to ensure all personnel give this area the correct level of attention.
Compliance. Ensure all relevant standards and guidelines are adhered to.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
HND/Degree in relevant subject (Business, NPI, Engineering) with minimum of three years of experience in managing multi-function projects
Competent in using Microsoft Project
Self-motivated, able to take the initiative
Good communication skills – expresses opinions/judgements clearly. Makes presentations and undertakes public speaking with confidence
Presents complex problems succinctly

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
PMP® certification from Project Management Institute / PRINCE 2
Experience of working in a multi-site environment
Experience of project portfolio management
