The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experienced engineering professionals.

The Role:
NVH Acoustic Package Leader to support all current and future model lines. Responsible from initial design feasibility through FDJ and SOP, covering engine and road noise airborne contribution reduction, and body sealing strategy.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

A senior member of the NVH team, you will be responsible for leading strategy, development and integration activities on all Coupe, Volante, and Roadster models with V8 and V12 engines, with multiple transmission and interior specification and options.

•You will be responsible for leading NVH acoustic package optimisation with experience of the following methods:
◦Noise Transfer Function and Reciprocal Airborne Transfer Function measurement and analysis
◦Interior engine and road noise airborne contribution reduction
◦Engine bay and bulkhead acoustic transfer optimisation
◦Tyre noise acoustic transfer optimisation
◦Intake and exhaust acoustic transfer optimisation
◦Exterior engine and road noise reduction
◦Pass-by acoustic transfer optimisation
◦Body sealing strategy, optimisation, and Equivalent Body Hole Size testing

•Maintain a strong working relationship with the body interior engineering team
•Delivery of NVH full vehicle solutions from benchmarking, targets setting through development and verification
•Deliver optimum engineering solutions with successful and timely resolution of issues
•Plan and manage internal and external test facility and resource
•Follow our Clients Programme Control System (AMPC) process and ensure all required information and actions are completed within requested time

Qualifications & Experience
•The candidate should be degree qualified, preferably with NVH content.
•A good understanding of design guidelines for NVH mitigation; test, development, and verification required to lead NVH acoustic package and body sealing.
•Knowledge of state of the art NVH development techniques including latest hardware and software development tools.
•Ability to deliver a cross platform integration strategy.
•Min 5 year automotive experience in NVH development and issue mitigation.
•Experience of working in NVH test environment.
•Subjective evaluation of vehicle attributes.
•Ability to process, analysis and report test data.
•Good knowledge and mentality on problem solving process (e.g. 8D, 6 sigma).
•Knowledge on AMPCS or equivalent product creation process (GPDS, FPDS).
•Knowledge of LMS Test.Lab, HEAD ArtemiS, or GFaI Acoustic Camera Noise Image.
•Strong time management, accuracy, diligence, ability to balance and prioritise multiple tasks to meet customer needs.
•Ability to work confidently alone or as part of a team.
•Good communication skill with various departments and management levels. Competent in all Microsoft Office toolset.
•Ability to work additional hours to get the job done, either during the week or weekends.
•Drive permit from OEM’s or equivalent is desirable.
