Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
CAE-Engineer required to support DPT activities on the field of Vibro-Acoustics- Structure Borne Road Noise and development of Ride Comfort – FEA related data synchronization with Full Vehicle NVH simulator. Must have knowledge of physics related to NVH. The candidate will have to be able to use the following CAE tools: MSC. Nastran, Abaqus, Altair NVH director, Altair Bushing Model, Matlab. The engineer also must have a solid understanding of NVH testing procedures in order to influence testing in an appropriate way. The candidate should be able to conduct data acquisition, data analysis and ability to write technical summary report to identify status, conclusions, concerns and recommendations. Within the competence of the engineer must be the ability to capture design requirements and specify, for consistent attribute performance.

Key Responsibilities
• Create and maintain models to support vehicle design and development
• Develop and maintain specialist technical knowledge / capability
• Define and plan own work and manage outsourced work
• Integration and expansion of analysis services
• Documentation, reporting and presenting results
• Provide help and guidance to engineers / less experienced staff

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree in appropriate Engineering discipline
• Preferably Chartered Engineer Previous Experience
• Demonstrated significant experience working in a CAE environment, capable of selecting and applying a number of analytical techniques
• Significant experience of NVH analysis of Chassis and Powertrain systems, specific experience of transmission and driveline systems analysis for refinement is highly desirable.
• Expert user of typical Analytical tools, including; Hyperworks, Abaqus, NASTRAN, Matlab.
