The Role:
The Role
Responsible for expert theoretical and practical Whole Vehicle Refinement skills to provide engineering design, development and problem resolution in Body & Trim, Powertrain and/or Chassis, to ensure achievement of product Acoustic targets. This includes:
- Defining, planning, organising, monitoring and managing own work to enable completion of development testing for approval by Senior Engineer/Functional Manager.
- Conducting acoustic testing to support project technical development & problem resolution requirements.
- Acquisition, processing and analysis of noise and vibration data and recommendations for countermeasures or design changes where appropriate.
- Reporting technical status and progress to Senior Engineer, Functional Manager and relevant Functional areas.
-Whole Vehicle Refinement design input to other Functional areas to enable the development of components and systems, which, when introduced into production, achieve the Whole Vehicle Refinement targets, are safe, legal and otherwise are fit for purpose.

Key Skills
- Ability to manage activity budget as agreed by Functional Manager & Senior Engineer
- Proven problem solving experience
- Understand issues associated with design, testing and manufacturing systems.
- Understanding of the current status of whole vehicle refinement within the industry

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- German language capability would be advantageous.
