The Role:
PT & Engine NVH CAE Engineer
Provide direction for the design of powertrain and engine components and systems based on the results obtained from NVH CAE analyses.
Plan NVH CAE analyses of powertrain and engine components and systems in cooperation with design & release engineers
Conduct NVH CAE analyses to compute powertrain and engine vibrational and acoustic responses using the finite element and boundary element methods.
Present CAE analysis results to design & release engineers, interpret results and propose design improvement actions.
Work with design & release engineers to implement improvements and to confirm that the design meets the NVH targets while satisfying function and cost targets.
Lead CAE project reviews and actively participate in engine design reviews.
Use analytical reliability & reliability tools for robust design optimization of engine components and systems.
Manage CAE suppliers to deliver FEA models and analyses results to satisfy both NVH targets and program timing.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor/ Master of Science in Engineering Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering
No less than 3 years of professional experience in structural dynamics FEA, including meshing for major engine structures such as cylinder head and cylinder block.
Team player with strong professional work ethics
Strong understanding with applicable of automotive IC engine operating principles and load characteristics
Solid understanding of Structural Dynamics FEA, noise prediction tools such as Virtual Lab
Very proficient in FEA theory, meshing and interface with CAD software such as CATIA
Proficient in structural optimization (sizing and topology)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Modal testing, product design
Additional Education Preferred:
Acoustic Analysis, Boundary Value Element for Acoustic Analysis. SEA
CATIA drafting software, C/Fortran computer programming for engineering and scientific applications
MATLAB programming
Experience with Microsoft Office Professional with strengths in Excel
Good presentation skills
Strong written and verbal English language skills
