The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
The primary focus of this position is to strongly influence and provide occupational health and hygiene input and assure all Project Phases through the life cycle of construction through to Operations.

Key responsibilities of this position include:
• Develop, review and maintain the Occupational Health Standards and Guidelines which form part of the HSE Management System.
• Participate in the selection, assessment and implementation of an appropriate hazardous substances data base.
• Provide input to engineering teams to assist in the elimination, control or mitigation of potential health hazards due to chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic or psycho-social factors during facilities design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Participate in Health Risk Assessment, HAZID and HAZOP workshops as required for onshore and offshore facilities during the design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Participate in Health Risk Assessment, HAZID and HAZOP workshops as required for Operations Phase.
• Review and evaluate plans and procedures developed by Contractors to eliminate, control or mitigate potential health hazards due to chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic or psycho-social factors.
• Audit occupational health activities and processes during construction activities at Blaydin Point, on offshore drilling, subsea installation, GEP installation vessels, and during HUC on the CPF and FPSO.
• Audit occupational health activities and processes during the Detailed Design, Execution and Operations Phase.
• Advise and support the development of relevant Occupational Health and Hygiene procedures and guidelines for the Operations Phase utilizing company Occupational Health Standards.
• Develop and implement relevant occupational health and hygiene programs for the Project including but not limited to:
o industrial hygiene (management plans/procedures);
o ability to effectively engage external consultant's for specific hygiene programs/advice;
o noise/dust management;
o biological monitoring & health surveillance;
o hazardous substances management and occupational exposure limits;
o airborne contaminants and ventilation;
o light & radiation;
o fatigue management;
o fitness for work (fatigue, alcohol and drugs, travel).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualification in a related Science.
• Full Membership of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists Inc or relevant international society.
• 5 years experience in oil and gas operations or other relevant heavy industry experience.
• Experience in Mercury and BTEX standards and exposure monitoring highly regarded (essential).
