Our client provides analysis, design and construction management for the transmission, distribution, generation and control of electric energy. Their clients include utility companies, government facilities and industrial companies that seek a connection to a power transmission or distribution network

The Role:
Delivery


Support the Proposals Manager in the production of proposals for fee values not exceeding in approximately £50k.
Act as Consultant as required.
Identify, understand and promulgate client needs and expectations to ensure client satisfaction on all projects and maximise the opportunities for repeat business.
In conjunction with other Consultants, Delivery Managers, Heads of Discipline and managers from other business units, manage the effective deployment of staff to ensure productivity in line with budgetary requirements
Management of budgets as allocated.
Produce periodic reports covering business activities in a format to be agreed with the Delivery Manager.



Technical:

Support document control and management initiatives, including PIMS and HUB.
Assist in interpretation of statutory and industry requirements, standards and practices and ensure that the clients strategy and Policy works towards meeting those expectations.
Assist in development of tools, techniques and resources to meet the emerging requirements of our market sectors, consistent with a commitment to continuous improvement.



Business Development & Marketing

Raise awareness within client organisations of the range of services offered by the client.
Support identification and development of a pipeline of new opportunities in order to meet the operational and strategic objectives of the client.
Ensure that market intelligence and client opportunities are recorded and communicated via an agreed process for CRM and KAM.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree-qualified chartered OHS professional or similar professional status.
Good knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems, relevant enforcing authorities and practices appropriate to the service delivery sectors, e.g. HSE Approved Codes of Practice, Guidance documents (HSG/MDHS/INDG series) and industry-specific HMRI publications, Railway Group Standards, Network Rail and LU Company Standards
Customer-focused and able to meet customer demand for sector knowledge and expertise.
Ability to support a multi-disciplinary team of technical and non-technical resources.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Responsible for applying OHS Management principles to major infrastructure projects, and/or technology development and implementation projects.
Awareness of different lifecycles and the implementation of lifecycle approaches to real projects.
Business development in a consultancy environment
Successful track record as an OHS professional in relevant market sectors within the context of a professional services provider.
Member of an appropriate professional institution
Experience of the following OHS disciplines: OHSMS, CDM, HAZOP/HAZID, Safety Case, Occupational Hygiene (physical, chemical, biological, radiological and psychological agents and ergonomics), Training, Audit and Inspection (site and systems) and use of appropriate monitoring equipment, techniques and software packages.
