The Company:
Our Client has operations in the world's most important oil and gas regions and are leaders in working in extremely difficult environments. They have interests in many offshore producing fields in the UK, including five operated fields and five partner-operated fields. The company also has interests in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, the Netherlands and Norway. The client is the largest private producer of oil in Kazakhstan and the top O&G producer in Thailand. The Role:
• Ensure that OH documentation is current and up to date and deliver aspects of the 2016 OH plan.
• Regular monitoring of the process and metrics to ensure that continual improvement is achieved.
• Update OH documentation and work practices as required to ensure they are current with regard to local legislation and client requirements. Audit as required.
• Work with the company Medical Adviser, Management, HES professionals, medics and the workforce to achieve OH targets.
• Provide support and guidance with regard to OH for operations/D&C/MCP:
• Undertake sampling and measurement of potential occupational hazards associated with client operations. Work includes but is not limited to:
• Noise assessments with both audio equipment and dosimetry equipment
• Air sampling for substances with the potential to cause harm to health
• LEV testing
• Writing scientific reports based on the results of monitoring plans
• Entering results into a database
• Undertake occupational health risk assessments to identify potentially hazardous physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial agents, evaluate the risks posed and provide guidance on suitable control measures.
• Hazard assessments, development of control measures, monitoring the effectiveness of control measures in concert with key stakeholders.
• Manual handling subject matter expert.
• Ensure that all new and revised occupational health related legislation is interpreted, and advise on impact.
• Engage with leadership and work force to continually improve OH.
• Provide training and coaching in the fields of occupational hygiene and ergonomics as required.
