The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
My clients Measurement Products Division are based in various locations around the UK including St Neots in Cambridgeshire, Workington in Cumbria, Stonehouse, Gloucestershire and Field based Sales Teams around UK & Ireland supplying customers in the Process, Chemical, Oil and Gas and Utility Industries with a wide range of Field Instrumentation and Continuous Water Analyser products and systems including:

• Flow
• Pressure
• Temperature
• Level
• Recorders and Controllers
• pH/Redox & Conductivity
• Dissolved Oxygen
• Turbidity
• Ammonia, Flouride & Nitrate
• Silica & Phosphate
• Custom Designed Water Monitoring Systems
• Gas Analysis Equipment

The successful candidate will report to the General Sales Manager and will be responsible for delivering an annual sales order budget of ca £1.5 million. They will focus on dealing only with major OEM's (Original Equipment Manufacturers), Skid Manufacturers, Engineered Rig builders, Machine builders and System Builders in the Midlands and North of England extending to UK wide for key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development of sales from target OEM customers
• Proactively develop relationships with clients, ensuring regular face to face contact through meetings, visits to company premises and presentations.
• Identify appropriate company products and solutions to fulfil customers’ requirements
• Liaise with proposals team to ensure quotations & supporting material relative to the activity are produced in a timely and customer focused manner.
• Forecast sales activity for assigned customers, analyse variances to budget and identify actions to remedy any shortfall.

The successful candidate will have a good awareness of the commercial impact of technical decisions tenacity and determination to engineer long term success from initial meetings.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree/HNC. Electrical, Chemical or Instrumentation Engineering.
Proven previous field sales experience essential within a technical or instrumentation environment, especially sales to OEM accounts and developing an account from start in the process, chemical, Oil and Gas and General Process industries.
