The Role:
As a Offshore Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) Inspector your main responsibilities will be:

- Responsible for client oversight of all automate ultrasonic testing and inspection activities on-board a pipelay vessel with respect to QA/QC activities.
- Completes spot-checks of contractor AUT procedures, inspection activities and quality records to verify adherence to project specifications, with detailed reviews of AUT scans
- Ensures timely and appropriate reporting of non-conformances with follow-up review and assistance to confirm close-out.
- Provides input and assistance with AUT-related technical deviation requests and associated documentation.
- Provides reporting of AUT QA/QC metrics to the Project Team.
- Reports directly to Vessel Lead with indirect reporting to Project Engineer & Quality Lead onshore.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As an Offshore Automated Ultrasonic Testing Inspector you are required to have the following:

- Minimum 25 years relevant industry experience in AUT inspection of pipelines and/or flowlines.
- Has experience developing AUT inspection systems and is familiar with the science of ultrasonics
- Advanced (post-graduate) degree in engineering and physics is preferred.
- High level of knowledge and experience of industry inspection standards for oil/gas with focus on pipeline construction.
- Knowledge of and experience with DNV OS F101 Appendix E and requirements for AUT inspection required.
- Previous experience on pipelay vessels is a strong preference.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and common E-mail systems
- Fluent English

- Must be able to obtain an industry accepted Basic Safety/Survival Training
- Must be able to obtain valid Offshore Medical
- Must be able to obtain Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) or Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
