The Role:
Purpose:
To act as Offshore Completion / Commissioning Engineer Lead for the undernoted support of Hook up and Commissioning activities and to provide support for the Holding Location activities to the MI&HU Manager. The role will cover the Project phases from preparation for departure Holding Location works in Europe, readiness of the FPSO for departure in China, delivery of the scope at the Holding Location yard, readiness for sail to the field, wet tow, hook up and support through to first production.


Main Accountabilities:
* Assist in the development of Holding Location scope of work(s) for key Vendors that will be required to support the final preparations for sail to the field
* Participate in the review of Vendor Preservation / Depreservation requirements and the development of Depreservation / Re-activation scopes of work / checksheets
* Preparation and review of processes and procedures associated with the arrival of FPSO at Holding Location and Infield
* Preparation of construction workpack's for the holding location, Infield hook-up and pre-hydrocarbon commissioning
* Ensure that completion and commissioning issues are catered for in the design and implementation of the scope of work.
* Participate in the detailed planning of both the Holding Location and Offshore Schedule scope of work.
* Participation in HSE Reviews associated with the scope post sailaway China
* Participate in the management of the interfaces associated with the above (both internal and external).
* Act as a key member of the Holding Location Delivery Team ensuring that all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner and that all work meets with the required Quality Standards
* Act as a key member of the Offshore Hook-Up and Commissioning Team ensuring that all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner and that all work meets with the required Quality Standards
* Participate in the preparation of the required completion system documentation for the handover of systems to Operations.
* Work in accordance with the company's project Completions / Commissioning procedures and processes.
* Liaison with Contractor completions team and the construction team on a daily basis, ensuring that all system/sub-system handover' are completed in line with the schedule.
* Ensure that certification associated with mechanical completions is completed in line with the project specification and to a standard acceptable by the project.
* Co-ordinate sub-contractors, MC certification team & all project preservation requirements
* Review all E&I elements of the completion handover packs.
* Assisting with the set up and population of the project completion system (PCS) database.
* Responsible for the integrity and security of the system, ensuring all data is processes and recorded
* Co-ordination of PCS technicians/operators to progress certification produced during the construction phases to achieve handover of systems/sub-systems.
* Responsible for the updating of the PCS system in line with project revisions, change forms, SEQ's etc. and the production of all relevant certification.
* Preparation of handover certificates and associated documentation
* Assist the Operations Team in controlling/manage the Commissioning & start-up of instrumentation systems

Qualifications & Experience:
* Background E&I Completion and Commissioning
* Relevant experience within the Oil and Gas industry
* Relevant Electrical / Instrument qualification and experience.
* FPSO operations experience.
* Experience of Yard Supervision
* Current Offshore Training and Medicals

Required Competencies:
* Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, an effective team player and demonstrate the required flexibility that the role will require.
* Must be medically suitable for travel to China and Offshore
* Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written)
* Must have a sound technical background and be willing to engage in areas out with the direct technical experiences.
* Must have good organizational skills

Working Conditions:

* Based in Aberdeen with travel as required to Vendor sites.
* Based at the Holding Location during the phase pre-arrival from Europe through to departure to the field
* Attendance in China as required (adhoc).
* Based offshore on rotation during the HUC phase.
