The Role:
This role is the Lead HSSE position offshore for the Construction team, including contractors, other 3rd Party Vendors associated with the Project workscopes.

The position reports to the Offshore Hook Up and Commissioning Manager for ensuring that all construction activities are carried out safely and comply with all OMS, Platform policies, standards and statutory requirements.

This role is accountable to ensure the correct level of risk assessment has been applied to all planned activities during execution.

This role is responsible for daily construction safety oversight and written progress reporting on all Project scopes by contractors, and 3rd party contractors throughout the hookup and commissioning.

•Demonstrate personal leadership and excellent safety behaviours at all times and ensure that safety expectations are communicated and maintained.
•Ensures safety through the line by working with all contractor Supervision and General Foremen to engage proactively
•Ensure all project HUC activities are carried out within the client's and platform procedures/standards.
•Owns and delivers the offshore safety agenda along with the HUC manager and offshore construction leadership team.
•Leads the offshore construction safety team which includes project HSSE Advisors/coordinators, key contractor safety reps and Safety Coaches.
•Works closely with the onshore safety team to develop/deliver the safety programme, interventions and actions.
•Provides weekly reporting to the onshore Project HSE Manager/Lead on audit and verification status
•Actively implements/partakes in any audit, monitoring or verification schedule
•Aligns closely with the OIM’s in support of the platform/Flotel HSSE performance delivery through safety inputs such as BOSS, SOCS, WCC audits etc.
•Promoting HSE culture and team spirit in the across teams and supports any platform or project related Supervisors Safety Briefings
•Leads, participates in and ensures delivery of quality offshore incident investigations as required to determine root causes and actions to prevent recurrences.
•Ensures that all actions and lessons from and incidents or investigations are fully implemented offshore
•Prepares and delivers weekly offshore HSSE report and leads any weekly offshore/onshore safety call
•Prepares material for and attends daily safety briefs and town halls.
•Ensures quality, consistency of heli brief safety message and content.
•Creates an end of trip written handover and conducts a verbal handover with oncoming incumbent
•Ensure Offshore HUC Manager is updated of any risk to delivery at the earliest opportunity
•Ensure all worksites are left in a safe condition & all Tools & material are removed to suitable locations as per permit requirements
•Ensure workforce and supervision are trained with respect to BOSS, SOC and DRR
•Administrates any safety recognition awards
•Interface with Platform HSEC, Medic, and Flotel equivalents
•Identifies daily weekly risk and hazards emerging from detailed understanding of imminent work activities, and identifies SIMOPS issues.
