The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
As the Offshore Execution and Planning Lead (hook up and commissioning), you will develop a Hook-up plan which includes milestone measured installation planning and execution activities at defined points along the project timeline.

The Offshore Execution and Planning Lead will also:

• Provide the project team a detailed understanding of the coordination activities required for the project
• Define Hook-up cost and schedule and responsibilities within the project
• Ensure Hook-up representation and input into the tendering process, including contract focus areas, evaluation, and award recommendation, to identify and address vulnerabilities
• Ensure development of site management plans and procedures including safety, emergency response, SIMOPS, logistics, communication, hand-over, construction surveillance, and site MOC to address site specific vulnerabilities
• Identify and communicate execution and schedule vulnerabilities; monitor mitigation plans
• Manage interfaces (Engineering, Drilling, HUC, installation, GBS, Ops, etc)
• Act as a Construction technical consultant to various Construction and Project task teams
• Support / Perform Site Lead as necessary during actual execution phase
• Formulate construction strategies and plans to support successful construction planning and execution
• Represent Construction in concept screening/selection, contracting strategy/evaluation, and other early project planning efforts
• Provide core competency/expert Construction consultation and support to functional and project teams
• Train and mentor Construction planning and/or execution personnel
• Provide technical leadership for vulnerability and risk assessments
• Develop tools to improve efficiency in managing construction planning and execution
• Provide assistance to contractor supervision activities and safety management practices

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Significant experience with hook up & commissioning, preferably in an offshore environment
