The Role:
Initially to work closely with the commissioning teams along side the national SP technicians during the initial commissioning and start-up of complex D-Island and A-Island.
Act as system lead production operator for identified offshore production area through the CSU process.

Namely: Gas Treatment and Separation
Accept sub systems for operations during commissioning activities.
Act As site OIM for A-Island activities during well start/up and normal operations.
To lead the SP National Operations Team within their specific areas, and to coach, mentor and assess.
To train, coach and mentor the designate National Production Operators.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Job holder is responsible for:
• Conducting checks/surveys within the Process, Utility area of responsibility, identifying, rectifying and reporting possible anomalies;
• Identify potential hazards or occurrences that may be damaging to personnel, environment, plant or production. Take immediate corrective action where possible and report occurrences to the offshore shift supervisor;
• Endorse all work permits in area as PRA in accordance with the PTW system;
• Assist the Issuing authority in preparing isolation schemes to equipment within area of responsibility;
• Review Operability and Maintainability of the facilities. Proposing and agreeing with Supervisor all maintenance works, repair or preventative measures as deemed necessary. Prepare works for their execution and for restoration on job completion;
• Verifying that all maintenance work carried out in the area of responsibility is performed according to PTW, WRAP and TRIC instructions;
• Ensure that the worksites are checked and safe prior to authorising any work to commence and during execution;
• Checking level/inventory of chemicals, consumables, etc and ensuring restoration to normal levels;
• Ensure Area Operator maintain chemical injection at required target rates;
• Performing the necessary activities during start-up, shutdown and emergency according to the instructions of the Offshore CCR Panel Supervisor and Offshore Production Shift Supervisor Day/Night;
• Checking the Area Operators log sheets and highlighting any anomalies to the Production Shift Supervisor;
• Ensuring the sampling of process fluids, for plant performance monitoring, is carried out safely and accurately;
• Taking appropriate action in case of alarm and/or emergency, following AKCO procedures and site instructions;
• Ensure well production test program is completed and record parameters (P, T, Flow) as per SPV instructions;
• Assure operational integrity, process safety is maintained following field feedback and promote continuous improvement to achieve a high level of Operational Excellence;
• Compiling, completing and submitting of necessary reports and documents regarding Production Operations;
• Ensure daily log of significant events in area of responsibility is maintained and give accurate verbal handovers to on-coming shift. Maintain records in Operations Desk Top (ODT) system;
• Familiarise himself with platform procedures and standing instructions and disseminate same to area operators;
• Review and provide input to updates of operating procedures, instructions and job cards;
• Monitor work in their area of responsibility, participate in tool box talks and stop or suspend work if deemed necessary;
• Assist, as required, in emergency response situations that may arise on the plant;
• Actively participate in the SAFER reporting procedure;
• Ensure housekeeping in their area of responsibility is to the required standard;
• Maintain and audit the LO / LC register as required.
• Give support to work preparation, planning and scheduling activities, including Campaign Maintenance;
• Following-up and controlling the testing of new/modified equipment, systems and machinery;
• Identifying materials, tools and spare part requirements needed to carry out the activities, maintain stock levels;
• Ensuring the provision of adequate resources to carry out activities e.g. special tools and materials for the area operators and/or additional specialist operations support;
• Participation to Integrated Commissioning and Acceptance Team (ICAT) and Start-Up activities;
• Participation in and assisting with the co-ordination of the Project's Performance Test(s);

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The job holder must have:
• Higher Degree / Diploma qualification in Technical Discipline.
• Successful completion of recognised Process or Operator Apprenticeship in Oil and Gas Industry
• Minimum 7- 10 years experience in processing plant operations in upstream Offshore Oil and Gas Industry to have included:
- Knowledge/ experience of onshore / offshore upstream Production Operations, particularly in operations of wells, oil and gas separation, gas/liquid transportation and related systems management;
- Knowledge of Offshore static equipment, rotating machinery, troubleshooting techniques;
- Knowledge of process related principles, P&ID’s;
- Knowledge in operating plant machinery and associated systems inc Power systems if relevant;
- Knowledge of plant instrumentation operation;
- Knowledge in basic Maintenance techniques;
- Knowledge of gas and liquid fluids sampling procedures;
- Experience in coaching, mentoring and assessing national workforce;
