The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
The Offshore Hook-up Planning Engineer will provide a comprehensive Planning Service and support to the Offshore Hook-up team in London and then Aberdeen for the Execution phase of the project. This will include working with multiple contractors on several key contracts for the successful installation of the Offshore facilities.

Reporting Relationships

The Offshore Hook-up Planning Engineer will report directly to the Hook-up & Export Systems Project Services Team Lead as well as functionally to the Project Planning Manager.

Responsibilities

Overseeing the preparation and maintenance of the detailed level 4 & 5 Hook-up contractor schedules required for the Execution Phase of the Project.

Evaluating the schedules produced by Hook-up contractor to ensure that their schedules are robust, clearly identify the critical paths, contain the full contract scope of work and fit within the specified timeframes

Ensuring the Project WBS is adhered to and monitoring/ auditing of any contractor progress measurement systems.

Ensure that contractor plans are summarized, transferred and integrated into the client Master Control Schedule. Provide a feedback loop between the plans through application of knowledge of the ongoing Hook-up activities and constraints.

Preparation and updating of specific elements of the overall level 3 Master Control Schedule (MCS) as directed by the Planning Manager

Updating the l 3 Master Control Schedule (MCS) to indicate the progress achieved, identify the critical path and highlight any deviations from the plan and forecast delays to the Project Services Team Lead and Delivery Manager.

Preparation of various Reports, Histograms etc, as required, indicating progress achieved and highlighting any deviations from the plan and proposed corrective actions.

Participate in the various Schedule Risk Analysis exercises for the Offshore Hook-up scope.

Prepare various ad hoc reports and schedules as requested by the Project Services Team Lead and his team, as well the functional Planning manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Awareness of safety management for Onshore and Offshore environment and have demonstrated personal commitment to Safety.

Experience in both Operator and Contractors environments.

Good communications skills both written and verbal

Highly Proficient in Primavera P6 and Excel

Experience working on Offshore projects preferred.

Experience working in Construction environments both onshore & offshore.

Willing to travel between various client locations as well as Contractor offices.

Willing to start work in London, and then transfer to Aberdeen during the Offshore Hook-up phase.
