The Role:
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to work within the QSSHE Team, providing day-to-day support for an offshore integrity improvement project (IIP).. Working on a 2on/2off rotation you will based offshore on a jack-up barge which will be interfaced with one of the companies oldest offshore installation in the UKCS. You role will be to provide HSE leadership, guidance and coaching to the management team, contractors, supervision and workforce during the execution of all work scopes being performed under the IIP. The successful candidate will have a track record of working on similar projects and demonstrate that they have the right attitude and personal skills to ensure the project team complies with all relevant legislation and the requirements of the HSE Management System.

The HSE Advisor will report directly to the Onshore Operations H&S Advisor (Central Hub), but will work under the umbrella of the IIP Team when working offshore. The HSE Advisor will interface with any resident HSE Advisor/Medic’s based on the Offshore Installation being upgraded.

Key Tasks:
• Demonstrate HSE Leadership on site
• Permit to Work Auditing skills (ISSOW / PTW etc.)
• Participating (and where necessary leading) Activity Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talk
• Manual Handling Risk Assessment
• Behavioural Safety coaching and training skills (e.g. STOP / POST)
• Incident Reporting and Investigation
• Providing support to the combined installation emergency response arrangements (as required)
• Leading safety improvement programme
• Delivering health and safety training
• Ensure compliance with Site HSE Protocol and procedures
• Ensure compliance with Company & Legislative requirements in relation to ‘live site’ project activities, such as;
o Heavy lifts (LOLER)
o Working at height
o Overside working
o Manual Handling
o Hot work
o Confined space
o Hazardous substances COSHH Assessor
o Manual Handling assessor
o Gas testing
o HAVs assessor
o Radiation Protection Supervisor
• Dynamic Risk review focal point
• Advise Barge Campaign staff on content and applicability of QSSHE plan and procedures
• Conduct regular site HSE Inspections and audits
• Participate in and support Safety reps committee meetings
• Produce weekly QSSHE Statistics report

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• NEBOSH Qualified ( Diploma Preferred)
• Offshore Survival to OGUK Standard required
• Offshore Medical Certification to OGUK Standard required
• Environmental knowledge (UK Legal Requirements) preferred (but not essential)
