The Company:
With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, my Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK.

The Role:
Assist in effective management and implementation of the ISSOW and associated risk management systems.
Provide ISSOW coaching and act as an expert in Control of Work processes and requirements.
Support risk assessments
Supports actions and campaigns related to annual Operate HSSE Plan
Lead and support Hazard Management Programmes – e.g. Dropped Objects, Slips, Trips & Falls, Lighting,
Ergonomics, Manual Handling, Hand &Finger, Leak & Spill Prevention.
Implement and coordinate Occupational Health Management System, liaising closely with the Medic/Occupational Health Advisor
Support awareness and compliance culture to platform Safety case and Performance Standards, ensuring guidance for Asset Technical Authorities is sought.
Support the management and assurance of environmental consent and permit compliance, liaising closely with both Operate HSSE team and onshore environmental advisors.. Undertake actions regarding environmental improvement.
Coordinate and implement Level 3 Audit Programme
Support Site Management in ensuring that audit recommendations relating to HS&E matters are acted upon and closed out appropriately.
Assist in preparation and implementation of site specific improvement plans for health, safety and environmental management.
Support offshore Management in the investigation, reporting and analysis of incidents.
Provide expertise on Root Cause and Human Factor analyses
Support implementation of lessons learned
Support to dissemination of lessons learned from investigation and analysis
Support to confirmation of ongoing application of lessons learned from above
Assessment of relevance of “external origin” Health & Safety and Environmental Alerts
Implementation of lessons from such Safety and Environmental Alerts
Dissemination of HSE-related information from professional bodies, industry and Company sources
Track dissemination of alerts and engagement with teams
Monitor progress and implementation of corrective actions arising from related Incident reports.
Monitor implementation of Behavioural Safety system, identify and report on trends and improvement needs.
Support Emergency Response training and exercise programmes, including planning of exercises
Be part of the Emergency Response team, supporting the OIM in decision making and legal compliance
Provide input to site generated Risk Assessment activities, ORA, and SCRAs. Review and provide assurance regarding contractor generated risk assessments
Contribute to and monitor environmental performance with the intent of achieving continuous improvement .
Support the OIM with reporting requirements for with Regulatory bodies (HSE, DECC, and SEPA etc.), liaising with onshore HSSE team where required.
Fulfil role and responsibilities of Radiation Protection Supervisor.
Undertake other HS&E functional appointments within their competence as identified by the OIM
Participate in quarterly HSSE Operate meetings and weekly HSSE conference calls.
Actively participate in monthly HSSE forums
Support cross company initiatives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Qualifications:
Minimum NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (Diploma preferred)
Preferred Corporate Membership of IOSH & RSP.
Ability to develop to complete Environmental qualification e.g. Associate Membership of Institute Environmental Management and Assessment desirable. Potential environmental advisor auditor training.

Good working knowledge of operations – including oil & gas processing, water treatment, utilities, logistics/marine, and preferably drilling/well operations.

Significant direct experience in either oil &gas operations or onshore support role closely linked to oil & gas operations.
Preferably with some operations supervisory experience. (NOTE – candidates with significant experience could also be sourced from similar onshore Hazardous Industries with continuous processes petrochemical, nuclear or power generation)
