The Role:
The Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) is responsible for the operation and safety of the platform and all persons and activities within its exclusion zone in line with the installations Safety Case.

Acting as an offshore business manager, the OIM:

•Is accountable for safe operation of the installation in line with the Safety Case, local regulations and legislation and the client's Standards
•Champions and provides leadership and coaching towards delivery of a high performing safety culture.
•Ensures high standards of Asset Integrity in new and existing facilities
•Safely and efficiently delivers the work programme, through aligning, prioritising, and managing a broad range of functional interests.
•Provides production and cost leadership, maximising value from functional experts, industry best practice, and synergies between operations.
•Continuously builds offshore organisational capability, assuring technical competencies are met and exceeded.
The role reports to the onshore Operations Superintendent, who is accountable for in-role performance and development. There is also regular contact with the VP Operations and the client's Head of Operations, who provides functional direction.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Every individual has a duty to both themselves and those around them to ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all times. In addition to any specific accountabilities for HSSE, all employees are accountable for ensuring that they take care of themselves and adopt exemplary safe behaviours.
•You will be accountable for the health, safety, and welfare of persons onboard and within 500m zone. Engendering a culture of continuous HSSE and Asset Integrity performance improvement, lead the offshore teams to achieving sustained incident free operations.
•Where local legislation exists, you will ensure that the installation and its operations meets the more stringent of either local regulations or the client's policy, standards and guidelines.
•Instilling the client's HSSE culture and standards amongst all external partners and vendors you will ensure compliance with the client's standards, providing assurance that the offshore organisation has the required safety competence to meet all

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•Proven experience and documented competency necessary to manage an Offshore hydrocarbon processing installation.
•Controlling major emergencies; including a valid OIM Major Emergency Management certificate issued by a recognised assessment organisation.
•Undertsanding of Offshore legislation and local HSSE legislation
•In depth knowledge of offshore platform design and function and full understanding of the purpose and content of the Safety Case.
•Oil and gas processing, reservoir engineering & development principles, and water treatment.
•Thorough understanding of design and application of safe systems of work and permit to work procedures.
•Mandatory safety, medical regulatory requirements for travel and working offshore
•Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills proven in an offshore front line environment.
•With a degree in a relevant subject (Engineering) or equivalent you will have proven knowledge of OIM guidelines and external Health and Safety legislation
