The Role:
•To carry out the duties detailed below and as assigned by the rigging foreman, in a safe and efficient manner. Provide progress feedback to the foreman and supervisor and work within the framework of Aker Solution Just Care procedures.
•Carry out rigging and slinging operations
•Prepare site for rigging and lifting operations
•Undertake and control lifting operations
•Work with lifting equipment
•Work with cranes and lifting appliances
•Conduct pre-use inspections and maintain equipment
•Develop basic lifting plans
•To perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications
•Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the plating / structural workscope is completed safely and to a high standard.
•Complete all workscope in accordance with applicable workpack / jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches
•Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.

HSE Responsibilities
- Adhere to Personal Responsibility for HSE requirements, local site house rules and prepare a personal HS&E agreement with line supervisor and review regularly
- Set good personal examples on HS&E issues within your areas of operation and influence, and report all accidents, incidents and near misses to your immediate supervisor
- Actively promote the HSE principles, HSE Mindset and Just Care through personal commitment to HS&E
- Demonstrate HS&E Leadership in line with company expectations.
- Be clear when setting out expectations to the workforce and hold individuals accountable for their HSE performance in line with our rules of fair play and stress the obligation to intervene and interact with one another at all levels

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Apprenticeship or level 2 NVQ equivalent in relevant trade discipline
•ONC in an engineering discipline or City and Guilds in a related trade or an NVQ level 3 in a related trade
•OPITO Approve rigger assessment
•P.T.W. / I.S.S.O.W
•BOSIET.
•Industrial experience in fabrication and construction
•Experience in offshore construction.
•Awareness of LOLER regulations
•Recognition of all structural steels.
•Recognition of construction bolts and fixings.
•Recognition and safe use of wires and ropes.
•Ability to demonstrate a high level of understanding of HSE safe working practises, procedures and their implementation.
•Safe working – commitment to safe working practices ensuring that all workscopes are completed in a safe manner at all times.
•Can demonstrate the ability to read, interpret and implement procedures / specifications / drawings / sketches etc.
