The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
Provide Logistics support to onsite EM Drilling operations
•Ensure Safety, Health and Environmental performance within the offshore Logistics operation
•Coordinate safe and efficient operations including:
-Support vessel activities to include the timely arrival of required deck/ bulk cargos and provision of effective emergency stand-by support.
-Helicopter activities including helicopter arrivals/departures, personnel movements, offshore security, helicopter utilization/scheduling, fuel inventories and helicopter tracking.
-Material handling and movement
•Provision of administrative support to the Drilling operation as may be required
•Coordinate and monitor the movement of drilling equipment/material to provide optimal and most cost effective support to the operation
•Ensure effective interface between MODU personnel and support vessels/aircraft
•Monitor the provision of weather forecasting and ice management support to the operation
•Ensure that effective procedures and safe work practices are developed and deployed for all in-field Logistics activities
•Monitor and ensure availability/supply of fuel for the MODU and support vessels.
•Interface with other field installations as required to ensure effective utilization of Logistics resources and capacity
•Key interfaces will include:
-Onsite Drilling Supervision
-MODU personnel
-Onshore Logistics Coordinator
-Shorebase
-Support vessels
-Helicopter contractor
-Services Supervisor
-Drilling service contractors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-10 years related experience in the oil/petrochemical industry, preferably offshore or remote environment.
-Proven planning, coordination and cost management skills.
-Highly effective communication skills (written & oral) and be able to communicate using electronic medium.
-Detailed knowledge of air and marine logistics.
-Detailed knowledge of policies and procedures related to specific accountabilities.
-Working knowledge of materials control & associated inventory management systems.
-Working knowledge of catering and accommodations management.
-Working knowledge of drilling and marine equipment.
-Ability to recognize and resolve conflict.
-Thorough knowledge of Control of Work Systems and Procedures.
-Proficiency in the use of business computer applications.
-Ability to understand and interact with diverse groups in an isolated multi-business industrial environment.
