The Company:
Major operator is seeking an Offshore Maintenance Planner for a 6 month opportunity based in the Gulf of Mexico. 14/14 rotation.

The Role:
The Maintenance Planner is an offshore position which performs a critical role in the Activity Planning process. The primary role is to plan all work orders by working with the technicians to analyse the basic job steps, determine their relative sequence in the overall job, and identifying parts, materials, tools, competencies, and personnel requirements for each step in the process. This will ensure the timely execution of preventive and breakdown maintenance and will include Campaign Maintenance activities. The Planner must exhibit good communication skills in order to work with the Planning, Operations, Maintenance, Marine, and Engineering team members.

• Act as site Maximo super user. Accountable for daily review of created work orders to ensure work management processes are being followed and consistent and adequate data entry in work order fields. Identify coaching opportunities and coach work order initiators as needed.

• Accountable for validating key work order fields during planning (target dates, priority, function, location, failure code, etc.). Responsible for including part numbers for materials, and ensuring material availability. If parts are not available in stores for a job being planned, the planner is accountable for ensuring that materials required have been item mastered and added to the plan materials of the work order.

• Accountable to create or update job plans in Maximo to include man-hour estimates, proper crafts, tasks, materials, procedures, drawings, tools and applicable technical specifications. This is a collaborative effort between technician and planner. It is expected that job plans will be prepared for all work other than priority 5.

• Use historical data to regularly review PMs to ensure job plans and frequencies are appropriate. A minimum of 10% should be reviewed. Ensure generic campaign maintenance job plans are suitable for the hub, and suggest necessary changes to reliability and maintenance. This may include adding or updating PMs in Maximo.

• Accountable for maintaining backlog work orders that are in wplan or approved status in accordance with the work order priorities. This includes moving the work orders once planned and materials confirmed to waiting scheduling. Systematically review all open/uncsheduled work orders, and required to conduct once a hitch backlog review meeting.

• Accountable for identifying and coordinating 3rd party service(s) for Area-owned corrective and breakdown work, according to procurement supply chain management processes.

• Required to lead the review meetings.

• Actively participate in Planner network meetings and calls to facilitate Planner standardization.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
Strong understanding of Preventative Maintenance and compliance activities related to mechanical integrity.
Understanding of equipment, reliability, and operational processes related to offshore Oil and Gas production.
Experience in preparing job and work plans including scope, skills identification, time, cost estimates, resource availability, and operational coordination.
MAXIMO ASSET MANAGEMENT software experience required, 5 years minimum
