The Role:
•Be responsible for the Installation Engineering of the offshore 143km 18” import flowlines, focussing on the S-lay process and installation of In Line Tees and FLETs.
•Liaise with other Discipline Engineers within the Project Group and Technical Authorities in the main Paris/Aberdeen Offices as necessary.
•Ensure compliance with current legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
•Act as a Company Representative on specific worksites (including offshore construction / pipe lay vessels) as and when required.
•Liaise with Marine Warranty Surveyors and the SFF to arrange and coordinate vessel inspections and representatives onboard the offshore installation and survey vessels
•Reviews, comments and verifies contractor’s engineering, covering from the near shore to the offshore lay down over a variety of seabed conditions and water depths.
•Reviews and comments on specifications, requisitions, designs, procedures, layout arrangements and all documentation issued by the installation contractors.
•Attends testing and load out of seabed structures
•Assists with the management of the pipeline design and installation contractors.
•Prepares and presents technical dossiers.
•Reviews, comments and participates in risk assessments.
•Preparing technical specification and scopes of work.
•Implementation of project control procedures.
•Coordinates technical queries and compiles responses.
•Manages and liaises with the engineering verification contractors.
•Maintains documented and verified records.
•Regularly informs the Engineering Interface Coordinator of progress and any potential problems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Degree level in engineering discipline.
•Previous experience in the offshore oil industry gained from working in a similar role or project environment.
•Knowledge and experience of pipeline installation operations and related inspection procedures.
•Familiar with the management and control of pipeline construction-related contracts
