Our client is a leading global exploration and production oil and gas company with a focus on innovation, safety and sustainability.

The Role:
A new position has arisen for an Offshore Planner based on an even time roster.

The Offshore Planner role is to support the maintenance coordinator ensuring the offshore execution plan is efficiently implemented in line with project milestones.

Reporting to the Project Maintenance Coordinator you will be responsible for the following:

• Efficiently structure work activities to reduce day to day workload of the Maintenance coordinator and project superintendent via planning and scheduling in accordance with the AIM project schedule.
• Actively track and drive the plan on a daily basis with the general work force, promoting compliance to the project plan.
• Prepare 7day look aheads with offshore scope group coordinators from the project plan/21day Work order revision to enable front line work planning and timely preparation of permits. 7day look ahead to be issued to Operations for review.
• Collect progress from the offshore team and update the project schedule.
• Coordinate the offshore team to promptly and accurately close Work orders and raise notifications in line with business processes.
• Liaise with materials coordinators to ensure materials and components are available for execution.
• Walk down and estimate work scopes for onshore planners and implementation engineers.
• Prepare the draft project daily report for the superintendent review.
• Attend daily management meetings, tool box talks, 120day and 21day planning meetings.
• Provide offshore assistance and training for SAP and company business processes.
• Communicate deficiencies in planning process through line management to ensure business success and reduce risk.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum qualification is Trade/Diploma level qualification in Electrical or Mechanical field.
• Advanced Maintenance Management System Skills.
• Advanced Primavera Skills
• Maintenance Management System (SAP) expert.
• Strong background in project planning and scheduling using Primavera.
• Experience with Plant shutdown/turnaround activities, including planning, resource requirements, and cost management.
• Have strong negotiation skills and conflict resolution ability.
• Have supervisory skills.
• Have an expert knowledge of Maintenance Planning.
• Strong PC skills including the use of MS Word, Excel, and Project.
• Able to adjust to changing schedules and priorities.
• Must be very flexible to a changing work environment, including schedule changes, work prioritizing, employee work assignments, etc. Willing to work flexible hours to complete work assignments.
• Ability to understand and interpret P&IDs and vendor drawings.
