The Role:
• Optimise performance in all areas of production-efficiency, operations-integrity, emergency-management, oil winning activities and people-development. Managing resources to deliver same.
• Preparation of plans and programs for production operations according to business plan, preparation and management of the required budget to perform the above mentioned plans.
• Review and optimise the daily production operations on all offshore production complexes and on-shore facilities. Prepare detailed workpacks and procedures for planned and unplaned activities.
• Coordinate with other Dept's to implement required maintenance and Turnarounds for the production facilities and equipment. Ensure all safety critical maintenance performed on schedule.
• Manage topsides production, operational integrity, planned shutdowns/turnarounds and coordinate/facilitate well-intervention, pipeline survey/repair, diving, and emergency-response activities.
• Critical responsibility for ensuring ops readiness, quality and complete handover documentation in place and the provision of commissioning/post commissioning support for new and refurbished plant.
• Implementation of innovative technology where necessary to sustain continued safe operations.
• Ensure all safety rules and instructions are applied in all phases of work.
• Maintain high levels of quality safety inputs and maintain constant focus on safe operations.
• Set clear direction for offshore teams in line with Performance Contract, work closely with team to deliver this, and be tireless in follow-up.
• Maintain focus on safe and reliable operations as a constant priority of O/P team. Ensure adequate people, practices and procedures are in place for all activities, and ensure appropriate work control processes are consistently and rigorously applied across my areas of responsibility.
• Identification of production opportunities and risks, develop operational priorities and recommendation/implementation of activities to protect base production, prevent or minimise production losses and support safe oil winning activities both in the short and long term.
• Continuously assess and implement activities supporting operations integrity. Own offshore operational risk management plan, with ongoing focus on identification and risk mitigation of all high risk areas. Facilitate implementation of major integrity management/improvement programs.
• Establish and deliver O/P team goals and objectives in areas focusing on HSE, Integrity Management, Production, People development and cost control.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
High school diploma, advanced technical training
* 15 - 20 years oil industry work experience, with at least 10 years in Supervisory roles.
* Strong offshore operations experience.
* Aware of team's work methodology, encouraging a collaborative work environment between own team and other affected teams.
* Possesses good communication skills and strong interpersonal and partnering skills.
* Listen carefully to all perspectives and embed disciplined application of standards.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* BSc degree in e.g. Mechanical Engineering or relevant science field.
* Experience in facilities turnarounds and shutdown planning & scheduling.
* International experience leading multicultural teams.
* Arabic language knowledge is considered a plus
* OIM position held, experience in Emergency Response Management.
