The Company:
Reporting directly to the Onshore Construction Manager, the Offshore Project Co-ordinator acts as the Client's offshore representative to ensure the successful offshore execution of the project workscopes. Supported by the Construction Supervision and the offshore project team, the OPC will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, communication and efficient productivity of project workscopes.

The Role:
Onshore (& Overall)

To work in accordance with the company’s project department management system
To verify that the drawings and specifications provide adequate instructions for the work and advise the Construction Manager and/or Contractor Construction team of any deficiencies or clarifications needed
To review, in co-operation with the Construction Manager / Project team agree the overall offshore programme for OPC area of responsibilities and ensure that the construction phase is executed in a logical sequence.
Input to onshore project reviews, as required.

Offshore

Manage all matters of site preparation for project execution
Act as primary offshore contact for the Brownfield contractors supervision and maintain a good working relationship with main contractor & sub-contractors site representative(s)
The OPC will be responsible for the Health & Safety of all personnel employed on project works at site and will be expected to conduct all activities in compliance with statutory HS& E legislation.
Ensure that all of the offshore team within OPC area of responsibility are fully aware of their obligations and responsibilities
Ensure that all work is to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspections and certifications are strictly adhered to
Ensure, before any work commences, that all items of material, equipment, scaffolding etc are available on site and any shortages in vendor/ material/ equipment are identified in a timely manner to avoid unproductive use of labour
Lead Tool box talks and Task based Risk Assessments
Constantly strive to obtain maximum productivity and ensure economical use of labour and equipment is kept to a minimum.
To ensure adequate and qualified supervision and skilled labour resources are employed to meet schedule requirements
Maintain a clear dialogue with offshore operations management throughout successful execution of workscopes. Ensuring that the project objectives are clear and the project scopes are implemented in a safe and efficient manner in conjunction with ongoing platform operations.
Provide constant monitoring and reporting of the on-site implementation of project workscopes and potential problem areas; updating when necessary in conjunction with the onshore project team
Ensure timely resolution of any site work conflicts.
To be familiar with and be aware that Company and Site Procedures are adhered to and will be complied with throughout the implementation of project workscopes.
To ensure that all Company systems of Quality Assurance are adhered to and assist the Project Quality Manager in the completion of site system test sheets and the test dossier
Review and comment on the completion plan & procedures and advise on construction activities that impact on commissioning and integrate the agreed work scope into the completions plan
Provide support & labour to assist the completions team during start up & handover.
Plan and execute construction completion testing and pre-commissioning activities, including flushing, cleaning, hydro and leak testing, skid alignments, equipment preparation and E&I de-energised tests
Liaise with the commissioning team to rectify any faults identified and re-test, with mark up of as built drawings and compilation of all test documentation
Responsible for ensuring the construction element of the project is planned and executed in the most efficient manner to ensure minimum offshore scope.
Responsible with liaising with the nominated subcontractors at all phases of the project to ensure that the design is constructible and that the selected build methodology is the most efficient.
