The Role:
Fircroft are seeking an Offshore Project Manager for a long term contract with an Oil & Gas Operator in Norway

Location: Trondheim, Norway
Duration: 12 months+
Day Rate: Negotiable
Start Date: January 2014

Duties:
Provide support and assistance to Project Director, as required, in the day-to-day management of the project. Assist in expediting resolution of critical issues that can or may affect the Project’s objectives.
Facilitate and follow up License partners through the Technical Committee (TC) and L2S follow up. Secure that partner issues are managed, planned, executed and addressed to maintain a good and constructive working relationship in the license group.
QA function for the project monthly report and partner presentations .
Be a driver for continuous improvements to make the Project leadership team excel as an integrated team through facilitating and follow up goals, milestones and action points of the leadership team.
Assist multidiscipline MOC handling and business case preparation .
Perform multidiscipline technical, business and interface project support (Support base functions, PETEK, Drilling and Wells, Facilities and Operations) .
Contribute to the use of the Project Risk Management process as a management tool.
Contribute to the management of Project Schedule and Costs.
Contribute to the delivery of the Project objectives in HSE and Quality.

Candidate qualities
Self motivated and with an internal drive to identify and pursue assignments
Good leadership and communication skills
Ability to prepare clear and concise presentations on complex issues
Effective and structured in the planning and execution of work
Ability to manage high work load when required and to work effectively cross functional




Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Higher University technical degree
10+ years within project administration/ management within the oil industry and with a broad multidiscipline experience base
Fluent in Norwegian and English, verbal and in writing
Proficient in the use of relevant IT tools
