The Role:
Maintain safety mindset and actively engage hook up personnel in safety-related conversations during observation of construction activities
Assists the hook up personnel and in defining quality problems and finding acceptable solutions.
Ensures hook up compliance with project specifications and procedures.
Performs monthly quality audits as per the audit schedule
Evaluates the performance of subcontractors
Provides input for the weekly Key Performance Indicators to determine trends
Ensures that Fabricator complies with Care, Maintenance and Preservation Requirements of the Project and the equipment manufacturers.
Works with the hook up and Commissioning team to ensure a smooth transition from construction to commissioning.
Ensures that the certification (GOC) is completed and signed off by the proper competent staff, and that all required documentation is in place.
Assists the material control manager in identifying and preparing damage claims reports for received material.
Schedules the proper personnel to witness the various phases of testing during hook up work as per the ITP’s.
Holds weekly quality meeting with the hook up quality team.
Assists in the selection of personnel for the Quality Control Department.
Understand and comply with the offshore HSE requirements.
Lead by example on HSE matters.
Ensure implementation of lessons learned during construction into the hook up phase.
Promote the “One Team” philosophy.
Promote open communication.
Encourage and motivate the organization to seek opportunities that will add value to the field.
Attack issues with the view to solve the basic causes in a systematic manner and drive for continuous improvements in all areas.
Liaise with the fabrication sites, engineering and vendors regarding outstanding information or clarification of quality issues.
Interfaces with the hook up corporate quality Manager to ensure processes are implemented during hook up.
