The Company:

The Role:
The role involves the provision of rotating equipment operation, maintenance and reliability improvement support to UK assets. The assets are located predominantly, but not entirely offshore. The positions may be permanently situated or at least require prolonged periods of time to be spent at the assets. The work will be mainly focused on the support of equipment operation and maintenance with continual improvement being the main focus. Main activities will be as follows:

•Focus on HSSE. All activities will be conducted without compromising safety in any way. The HSSE framework will be adhered to at all times without exception.
•Supervision of concurrent maintenance activities. The candidate is expected to be responsible for the maintenance of large rotating equipments involving multidiscipline technicians from OEM and no OEM service providers as well as asset based staff.
•Supervise commissioning and start up activities following maintenance.
•The emphasis will be on more time at site. The coaching of operations and maintenance staff and working with them to deliver improved machine uptime will be of high importance.
•Identification of critical spare parts which will reduce risk and improve equipment availability. Justification of parts procurement will be required.
•Pro-active initiation of reliability improvement initiatives at site, as well as proposing new ways to achieve improvement.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The preferred rotating equipment engineer is expected to be a seasoned engineer with more than 10 years experience and be able to demonstrate a proven track record with the following capabilities:

•Diverse and proven track record with experience working with a variety of rotating equipment, including as a minimum gas turbines, diesel engines, centrifugal compressors and pumps.
•Familiarity with international standards related to rotating equipment.
•Experience of working in an offshore environment with the ability to work within a diverse team including engineering, maintenance and operations.
•Sound knowledge of the maintenance of rotating equipment
•Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate leadership by example and be a role model to others.
•Capability to identify and justify the procurement of critical spare parts.
•Assess the condition of spare parts required for maintenance and of those removed from machinery.
