The Company:
Our Client is one of the world's largest Oil and Gas companies. Their operations cover the entire energy chain, including oil exploration and production to trading, shipping and refining and marketing of petroleum products, as well as chemicals. Our Client has operations in over 130 countries and has more than 95,000 employees worldwide.

The Role:
The post holder will be required to anticipate or identify problem areas or potential areas of conflict (within company or between company and contractor) and effect resolution.
Ability to communicate with different offshore disciplines and ensure effective liaison between all parties.

• Monitor offshore contractor to ensure that project safety, health and environmental requirements are met.
• Demonstrate personal commitment to the Company, Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company SHE standards, actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.
• Participate in Offshore contractor planning meetings, risk assessments, toolbox talks, safety meetings, etc.
• Spend the majority of time on the installation vessel to monitor performance of work and to coach and encourage Offshore contractor personnel to achieve an acceptable safety, health and environmental performance.
• Maintain good relationships with Offshore contractor management and personnel. Where necessary intervene to stop work where appropriate SHE standards are not met.
• Liaise with Other disciplines to improve effectiveness of the overall Team.
• Ensure the company rules are followed or aligned with contractors safety management system.
• Participate in any incident investigations, site audits or safety committees with follow up and close out of recommendations.
• Maintain close links with Pipelines HSE Advisor in Aberdeen for advice, information and policy.
• Ensure timely reporting of incidents and close out of audit actions and incident recommendations.

• Offshore on board an Offshore contractor Installation Vessel.
• Rotation shall be worked in conjunction with Offshore contractor normal crew change patterns.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Relevant fabrication and construction experience.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Recognised professional safety qualification, Chartered Safety Professional preferred.
• NEBOSH General or International Certificate.
• Computer able to use basic systems e.g. email, Word and Excel.
• UKOOA Offshore Medical.
