The Role:
The Company operates two fields in the Natuna Sea; the mature Anoa field comprising three platforms and an FPSO, and the new Gajah Baru dual platform complex which achieved first gas in 2011. Both fields supply gas to Singapore and domestic markets via the WNTS pipeline and are supported from Jakarta and the Matak forward supply base.
The fields are managed by two Operations Managers overseeing a group of 5 OIMs with 2 attached to each field and the 5th as a Field OIM nominally based in Jakarta but involved in operations of both fields and significant project interfaces.
Depending on the candidate there is significant flexibility on working rota and home location. This can range from a 28:28 rotation from an international location to being based in Jakarta with 14:14 or 21:21 rotation to a ‘home’ platform when in a rotation.

Responsibilities

As duty OIM in either the Anoa or Gajah Baru field:
• Duty holder for safety of the offshore population and facilities including
o adherence to corporate and regulatory HSES requirements
o Incident Commander
o overall responsibility for control of work through permits, risk management, audit
• production optimisation and reliability of the facility
• maintenance execution
• budget holder for offshore cost centres
• Ensuring a competent offshore workforce is maintained and developed

As Field OIM in the Jakarta office:
• Operations in Projects leadership, including:
o Preparation and execution of pre-operations readiness plans
o SIMOPS preparations
o Representing operations in project safety reviews, risk assessments, audits
o Project support including FATs, acceptance of equipment, maintenance
o Personnel recruitment and training
o Logistics planning
o Hook Up and Commissioning support
• Assisting operations support with the onshore technical teams in all areas:
o Day to day technical support with HSE and production matters
o Operating Management System continuous improvement
o Performance management of HSE, Production, Cost and other business drivers as requested by the Operations Manager or Operations Excellence Manager
o Covering for Operations Managers

Reports to Senior Production Operations Manager
Direct reports: Offshore operations team / project operations staff

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications
• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or better (work permit requirement)
• Relevant HSES accreditations (e.g. MoME, BOSIET)

Skills and experience
• Minimum 15 years experience within upstream oil and gas production
• Minimum 10 years experience of offshore production assets in a supervisory / management capacity as OIM
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Good health with valid offshore medical certificate from an approved institution

Knowledge
• Significant knowledge of offshore production, engineering and maintenance management, able to manage and contribute to all aspects of Field Operations
• Managerial in nature, but sufficiently technically adept in coaching and developing other staff

Attributes
• Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills with flexibility to meet the fluctuating needs of Field Operations in a multi-cultural environment
• Comfortable in managing and influencing a diverse team of local and expatriates, both staff and contractors
