The Role:
• Responsible for the safe, effective and efficient operation of the Field Facilities:
• Responsible for the welfare and well-being of all personnel working on the installation.
• Responsible for safe, timely and quality execution of all facility operations activities; ensuring HSE and business objectives are achieved.
• Responsible for adherence to client integrated Management System, standards, procedures and applicable regulatory legislation.
• Responsible for Facilities safely achieving daily nominations & annual production plans.
• Responsible for establishing an open, one team culture that is interdependent in its nature and strives for continuous improvement in all areas of its operation.

• Direct and control offshore installation production, maintenance, construction and facility operations to achieve, or exceed, HSE and business targets and expectations:
• Manage all aspects of platform operations to ensure adequate control is maintained over all ongoing works, which can be clearly demonstrated, as and when necessary.
• Ensure that all activities fully follow all applicable HSE, Safe Systems and Control of Works procedures and industry safe working practices.
• Ensure effective planning and scheduling of facility works to ensure safe execution, sustain facility integrity, and maximise production availability and equipment reliability.
• Ensure accurate Daily Production Nomination & Annual Production Plan preparation.
• Ensure accurate, timely and quality preparation of all HSE, production, maintenance and facility operations activity and performance documentation and reports.
• Manage full compliance with all applicable elements of the client Integrated Management System (iMS) and underpinning processes and procedures, in particular:
• Oversee and ensure full compliance with the offshore safety case.
• Ensure that all activities are undertaken in full compliance with applicable regulatory legislation and statutory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GOIMS and other applicable corporate management systems.
• Ensure full compliance with Management of Change process for any deviation requests.
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews, ensuring any corrective actions are implemented.
• Manage the Offshore Workforce and Third Party Contractors:
• Build a strong offshore leadership to ensure effective HSE, work activity, workforce and contractor management.
• Ensure competence coverage for all safety, operational and business critical work roles.
• Ensure a unified ‘One Team’ culture with all ‘core crew’ personnel, promoting a strong safety leadership environment, continually striving to improve performance.
• Delegate HSE, operational and expenditure responsibilities as required.
• Maintain close liaison with contracted service providers to ensure required standards of safety, performance and quality are fully understood and continually met or exceeded.

• Ensure all facility activities are carried out in a safe manner, fully in compliance and accordance with client Integrity Management System, regulatory Health and Safety requirements, Procedures, Safe Systems of Work (Control of Work), Safe Working Practices and temporary Working Instructions or Bridging Documents (SIMOPS).
• Ensure all parties fully understand work roles, duties and associated risks, and are fully competent and prepared to safely and effectively undertake the required tasks.
• Ensure that all Emergency Response roles are filled with fully trained personnel and that routine exercises are effectively undertaken to confirm satisfactory response capability.
• Ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances are fully reported and any corrective action fully implemented as required.
• Ensure that all environmental emissions, discharges and any non-conformances are fully reported and any corrective action fully implemented
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews, ensuring all actions are implemented as required.
• Ensure all equipment, production process and utility systems are safely and efficiently operated in accordance with procedures and within designed safe operating parameters.
• Provide technical support to facility operations teams and personnel, as required, for effective performance, issue diagnosis and problem resolution.
• Manage facility workforce, and contractor, planned workload, ensuring capacity to undertake unplanned responsive, corrective and restorative actions.
• Manage performance of direct reports; annual appraisals, performance coaching, identifying development needs and facilitating progression and succession plans.
• Ensure expenditure management is exercised by all facility personnel, minimising costs attributable to facilities operations and consumables.
• Champion ‘Operations Excellence’; set ‘SMART’ performance objectives, encourage improvement ideas, routinely review performance, monitor corrective actions.
• Review and approve activity, performance and non-conformance reporting.
• Ensure effective interfaces and communications with all stakeholders.
• Ensure client core business values are sustained, ensuring all business affairs are conducted professionally, conforming to the highest ethical standards.
• Appropriate Professional Qualification, OIM & MoME Certification.
• Professionally qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (NVQ-4 equivalent or higher)
• Extensive offshore O&G production facility experience and a background in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical Maintenance or Production Operations.
• Demonstrable record in Health, Safety and Environment, complying with legislation.
• Thorough knowledge of the range of offshore Process and Utility systems and equipment on an oil and gas processing facility. Modern ICSS systems experience.
• Safe Systems and Control of Work experience as an Area Authority or Site Controller.
• Management of Major Emergency preparedness, for Oil & Gas offshore facility.
• Experience in a senior supervising role on an O&G facility.
• Very persuasive communicator; easily relates to diverse audiences, crafts convincing arguments & adjusts interaction for multiple levels of understanding.
• Safety and performance excellence champion; “walks the talk”, demonstrates high energy levels and commitment, and leads the team by example.
• Communicates compelling “vision” to generate enthusiasm & commitment, proactively encourages high performance and continuous improvement, and recognises success.
