The Company:
An international exploration & production company with principal assets in Thailand.

The Role:
PURPOSE OF JOB:

Organize and lead field operations to optimize production and personnel performance. Standardize procedures for production operations. Standardize procedures for off loading oil cargo. Hold safety to the highest standard. Reduce production costs. Detailed Operations planning and contingency planning. Evaluate personnel competency regularly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The OIM duties include, where appropriate, but not limited to:

•Liaise with Production Manager daily to organize short and long term planning.
•Liaise with the Marine Manager daily to organize short and long term planning.
•Liaise with Field Superintendent and production operators to optimize production and operations.
•Organize vessel movement plans and co-ordinate with Field Superintendent and DSM.
•Provide technical assistance and guidance on processing systems.
•Ensure that the best personnel possible are working on the production operations.
•Provide technical diligence to ensure that there is proper Q & A done for all equipment and procedures.
•Oversee all Cargo Transfers.
•Oversee all Construction works on the producing platforms and MOPUs
•Create, review and improve the Operating Procedures.

NATURE & SCOPE:

The position provides technical support and guidance for all aspects of production operations, well intervention and Maintenance Management. The encumbent will continually assess the personnel and provide coaching as necessary to achieve higher levels of competency and safety.

Hours: 06:00 – 18:00 overtime as required
Schedule: 14 days offshore – 14 days off
Location: Scheduled work rotations offshore Songkhla

RELATIONSHIPS

SUBORDINATES: Production Operators, VSD Techs, Generator Techs, General maintenance crew, Electrical/Instrumentation Techs.

FUNCTIONAL: Field Superintendent/Production Manager

EXTERNAL: Contractors/Vendors

AUTHORITY: As granted by Production Manager

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Technical Diploma/Engineering Degree

EXPERIENCE:
10+ years experience working in the upstream E & P energy sector in an offshore environment. Extensive hands on experience with production/test separators and other production process vessels and equipment. Experience in crude oil production with ESP systems is desirable.


SPECIAL SKILLS:
Ability to work closely with a multi-national workforce; a competent teacher/coach; excellent organizational skills. Experience with ESP equipment is highly desirable. Ability to compile written reports. Attention to detail. Computer Competency is required.

English Language Skills:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to Read, Write and Speak English and Thai
