The Company:
Our client is actively involved in numerous projects in upstream oil and gas industry in Vietnam. Our client is now in stage of development of discovered gas field Rong Doi and Rong Doi Tay. Commencing end of 2006, gas from this field is transporting onshore through subsea Nam Con Son pipeline and supplying Vietnamese gas consumers for over 23 years.

The Role:

IV. Responsibilities:

Assist OIM with day to day responsibilities including:

1. Health, Safety and Environment:
a. Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all persons offshore
b. Responsible for protection of platform and equipment
c. In corporate in all platform emergencies

2. Operations:
a. Review and update O&M procedures if required
b. Implement the operations plan and ensure regular feedback and input.
c. Manage and be responsible for the safe day to day offshore operations
d. Conduct the daily platform coordination and progress meeting and communication with onshore
e. Take control, manage and coordinate any emergency situation, following the approved procedures
f. Manage the platform maintenance program and ensure timely execution and completion
g. Responsible for gas nomination and ensure targets are achieved
h. Ensures the plans are carried out and report on the progress. Highlight any concerns.
i. Review the future plans and comment accordingly
j. Manage the interface requirements with others, such as drilling, well work-over, construction activities, vendors and visitors.
k. Responsible for the offshore work program and budget
l. Conduct routine inspections and audits for all activities, and produce the required reports
m. Maintain the integrity of the platform and efficient and safe operations
n. Manage the key performance indicators and results
o. Ensure efficient platform administration
p. Coordinate the helicopter and boat schedule. Grant overall approval for the helicopter operations and oncoming visitors.
q. Ensure the catering meets the requirements of the contract by conducting regular inspections and ensure any deficiencies are rectified.
r. Ensure regular performance assessments are conducted for employees providing feedback and arranging appropriate training.
s. Transfer of the knowledge and experience to employees and prepare them for advancement.
t. Report daily offshore operation to onshore.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Vietnamese only
Oil/Gas experience:
1. More than 15 years working experience in oil and gas industry with at least 5 years experience in supervising and managing multi-ethnic and multi-skilled workforce.
2. Able to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and responsibility.
3. Good track record of effective leadership skills in multi-disciplined oil and gas environment.
4. Have an established record as an OIM, with well developed communication, writing and reporting skills.
5. Articulate, able to organize own work to meet strict deadlines, production target, maintenance plan and cost control requirements.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
II. Education/Qualification:
1. A university degree preference in any engineering field
2. Must be a certified OIM from an oil and gas authorized establishment
3. Various technical, management, safety and other related course
4. Fluency in English (speaking, writing, reading)
