The Role:
The role supports offshore and onshore teams with specific HUC HSE technical expertise, communication and foresight towards risk mitigation, and provision of practical HSE advice to positively and safely resolve HUC issues. This role ensures the quality execution of risk assessment application to all planned activities during HUC. The role has a strong interface with the HUC Delivery Team onshore whilst fostering similar strong communication and support with the offshore HSE Team. The position reports to the Onshore HUC HSE Lead.

Key responsibilities:

• Support all project HUC activities to ensure they carried out within the requirements of Client and platform procedures/standards.
• Works closely with the onshore safety team to develop/deliver the HUC safety programme, interventions and actions.
• Aligns closely with the Asset/Operations HSEC in support of the platforms HSSE performance delivery through safety inputs such as (BOSS, SOCS, WCC audits etc.)
• Participation in any incident investigations as required to determine root causes and actions to prevent recurrences
• Assures suitable and sufficient risk assessment undertaken of HUC activities and assists in identifying SIMOPS issues

Deliverables
• Provide challenge, support, assurance and expert advice on HUC related HSE issues.
• Provide advice on compliance with Client standards, statutory codes and regulations.
• Create and deploy in conjunction with offshore teams Leadership and HSE team any appropriate interventions/programmes to continuously improving HSE and culture.
• Promote the adoption of HSSE best practice, making recommendations for improvement where appropriate, to the project and contractors.
• Leading of a weekly onshore / offshore HSE interface team call in conjunction with operations HSE team, to track and support HSE Plan delivery, clarify support for risk mitigation, and ensure incidents outcomes are understood and actions tracked to closure.
• Active participation at any risk workshops, monthly or otherwise, ensuring the quality of workpack risk assessment across all activities during HUC
• Ensure the suitable participation in BOSS and SOC’s and the mechanism for BOSS reporting and analysis is in place and functional
• Oversee weekly OCSL HSE performance reports
• Ensure incident notifications process is undertaken
• Undertake an assurance or verification role covering the site monitoring schedule, ensuring it is current and relevant to forthcoming hazards and site leadership fully participate.
