The Role:
Reporting directly to the Senior Offshore Representative on the vessel; a member of the wider project HSE team so functionally responsible to the Subsea HSE Team Leader.

Specifically the safety coaches role is to:

• To spend a minimum of 8 hours per day in safety coaching activities at all the work fronts on the vessel and the onshore bases.
• To spend a minimum of an hour a day with the Project Reps in safety coaching activities and to coach them in executing Safety behaviour conversations.
• To raise the standards of Safety execution across the vessel by involving as many people as possible in safety improvement activity.
• To support the Client representatives at the work site in ensuring compliance with Client Golden Rules of Safety and the North Sea Lifting Rules.
• To engage the Installation Contractors workforce in safety conversations to raise the level of their hazard awareness
• To intervene with the Installation Contractors activities if they see an unsafe act or condition and where necessary stop the job until the unsafe act or condition is resolved.
• To reward good safety behaviours of the workforce and management whenever and wherever they see them.
• To bring good safety behaviours to the notice of the facility management.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in a similar role.
