Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Onshore Pipeline Engineer responsible for work includes scope definition and planning, performance monitoring, quality delivery, priority setting and conflict resolution. The role requires extensive pipeline design and installation experience, basic understanding of pipeline regulatory matters, contractor management skills and experience to ensure overall integrity management and compliance. Basic understanding of the principles of pipeline cathodic protection; pipeline inspection techniques internal and external / land and subsea.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to HSSE including HSSE values and behaviours.
• Working closely with the Project Onshore Delivery Lead to successfully deliver onshore pipelines scope through the Define and Execute Phases.
• Responsiblity for overseeing the engineering design contractor, relevant consultants, construction installation and inspection contractors and vendors
• The FEED and Detailed Design of high pressure pipelines including pig receivers, pipeline valves, cathodic protection and associated infrastructure.
• Reviews of the scope, deliverables and schedules of the Contractor over the contract period including all CTRs and Contractor Project Variation Notes.
• Monitoring and reporting progress on the contractor teams
• Ensuring the design for the export route pipelines is properly aligned with ETP’s and international and local standards.
• Supporting technical submissions to the Segment Technical Authority on behalf of Client Onshore Pipelines
• Providing assurance that the FEED & Detailed Design work performed by the Engineering Contractor meets requirements and expectations
• Support the development of the ITT Package including installation contractor evaluation
• Providing pipeline project engineering expertise to support onshore and field development plans, infrastructure and operational support projects as well as any other activity requiring project pipeline engineering support.
• Ensuring that lessons learned from operations and activities performed during earlier phases and all experience gained in the relevant discipline is valued and capitalised.
• Maximising synergies in design, installation and operational aspects between the respective pipeline scopes with the FEED and the execution groups.
• Ensuring support in the discussion with local Authorities for the various crossing permits required in the construction of the export pipelines.
• Performing an overview of the Routing, HSE, Design and Technical Specifications for pipelines including managing risks associated with major crossings and tie-ins.
• Ensuring all interfaces between interface parties are identified and being actively managed e.g. Subsea & Marine, Infrastructure and SCPx
• Interface with other Delivery Teams e.g. Infrastructure, Construction, Operations, HSSE etc. to ensure design and installation proposals and procedures are optimised.
• Implementation of technical integrity, quality management and process safety requirements.
• Play a role in project internal and external reviews (e.g. PHSSER, EDR, IPA, risk workshops etc) ensuring actions arising are closed out in a timely fashion
• Oversee the Pipeline Approvals process to ensure all regulatory approvals are in place for operational modifications & project work.
• Specific Project Activities include input/review of:-
• Engineering technical notes and reports
• Route selection, survey, route maps and alignment drawings
• Pipeline Design Reports
• PFDs and P&IDS including participation in HAZOP & HAZID reviews
• PIMS actions and risks associated with onshore pipeline integrity
• CAD drawings in compliance with project standards
• Quantitative Risk Assessments
• Material selection and CP design
• Pipeline pre-commissioning and commissioning
• Design of Above Ground Installations (block valves, tie-ins, pig-launcher and receiver facilities)
• Construction specifications, Scopes of Work and ITT packages
• Pipeline equipment and linepipe specifications, data sheets
• Material selection and cathodic protection design
• Technical requisitions, technical bid evaluations, data review and co-ordination with vendors
• Third party interfaces and co-ordination of design
• Site visits for reconnaissance, routing, interface meetings, tie-in design.
• Multi-discipline documents relevant to pipelines and their associated above ground installations/ tie-ins.
• Cost estimates and schedule updates

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
At least 15 years experience with oil & gas projects.
Good understanding of the Contractual relationships between COMPANY and CONTRACTOR, and the other parties involved.
