The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 26 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
Our Client is currently recruiting for an Onshore Risk Manager. The primary focus of this position is to ensure risks and opportunities associated with delivering the onshore scope of work are clearly identified, fully analysed and managed according to the project's requirements and that the appropriate level of risk management is applied.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

Support the onshore division to identify, analyse and manage risks and opportunities associated with delivering the onshore scope of work.
Work across the onshore division to ensure consistency in the application of risk management process and procedures.
Act as the single focal point in the onshore division for all risk matters.
Ensure onshore division risk management is integrated with the project wide risk management activities.
Risks and opportunities associated with delivering the onshore scope of work are clearly identified, fully analysed and managed according to the project's requirements and that the appropriate level of risk management is applied.
Corporate and Project process and procedures are applied to risk management activities in the onshore division.
Maintain the onshore component of the project risk register including frequency of reviews, outstanding actions and reports to onshore division manage.
Liaise with Project Coordination in the overall management of project risk.
Liaise with Corporate Coordination to develop risk management standards, training and workshop material.
Provide regular reporting on the onshore project risk management progress against targets.
Facilitate the application of a consistent methodology and common language for risk and opportunity management.
Help embed risk management as a way of thinking in the development of the onshore division.
Liaise with onshore division managers to facilitate risk identification, analysis sessions at all levels of the division.
Ensure the risk register contains quality information and there is a consistent application of risk ratings (likelihood, impact).
Apply appropriate Corporate and project standards to risk assessment and management.
Facilitate sessions to define risk controls and mitigation plans.
Help ensure appropriate controls are defined.
Help ensure control effectiveness is rated appropriately.
Facilitate sessions to review and update risk register.
Check against project overarching risk register for consistency and gaps.
Assist in the preparation of risk reports and presentations.
Seek the inclusion of risk management as an agenda item at all relevant meetings across the onshore division.
Facilitate the ongoing use of risk based decision making.
Assist package managers to achieve their accountabilities and responsibilities as defined in the Corporate/ project risk management framework with regard to risk management.
Provide input into updating the project risk management framework and procedure to ensure that they remain relevant for the onshore division.
Provide input into the procedures, work instructions and guidelines to explain the risk framework and how to use the risk register.
Provide training, coaching and assistance to the onshore division with regard to the risk management framework, risk management process and system including reporting.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or higher technical qualification and + 10 years oil and gas or related experience.
Broad exposure (min 5 years) to project management, interface/risk issues, standards and systems.
Experience in managing risk across a department.
Ability to get out from behind the desk and "walk the talk" i.e. help build risk management as a key tool in making quality decisions in the onshore division by application of interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding of relevant Corporate/ project processes and systems.
Ability to mentor project teams and facilitate use of the risk management system.
Able to multitask and work under pressure.
Interpersonal skills befitting a multicultural environment.
Strong team player.
Microsoft Office skills.
