The group consists of 3 divisions being Engineering and Production Facilities, Well Support and Gas Turbine Services.
Our Client is an international leader in both marginal field developments, in life-of-field engineering and in production support.

The Role:
Basic Purpose of Job:
• Lead onshore shutdown support team consisting of shutdown coordinators, materials support, relief valve coordination, planning, platform ops and maintenance secondees. Management of Shutdown function across group of platforms within the CNNS.
• Reporting directly to client shutdown manager.
• Main interface with Shell Shutdown manager, operations cluster team Leads and maintenance delivery manager.
• Ensure effective management & delivery of Maintenance & engineering activities to be executed with a shutdown window including all aspects of maintenance safely, on schedule and within budget.
• Manage shutdown execution in accordance with Safety Culture and Shutdown Success criteria
• Co-ordinate implementation resource, supervise and provide direction to offshore resource during the implementation.
• Take ownership of shutdown preparation. Offshore activities as required, including visits to platforms
• Ensure all work scopes are planned and resourced for the shutdown.
• Provide major input to critical path implementation logic
• Provide co-ordination shift briefings offshore during implementation
• Provide daily progress updates during shutdown implementation phase.
• Provide support to asset team to co-ordinate strategy for 5 year plan and how best to resource the shutdown execution scopes.
• Apply shutdown change control procedure in accordance with "Best Practice" and client globally agreed procedure.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education & Qualifications:
Preferred Engineering/Science degree/HNC/HND or NVQ Level 3-4
Engineering degree


Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Enhanced understanding of safety issues, technically astute, commercially aware.
Ability to coordinate a large workload through prioritisation and delegation


Experience:
Previous experience in executing turn-arounds or shutdowns with ideally previous oil and gas experience.
Good multi-discipline technical and project delivery awareness
Proven track record in operational management role
Good commercial & technical acumen
Preferred Operations and Maintenance experience in the offshore oil and gas Industry, highly experienced or graduate engineers with less experience should also be considered for the positions

Confident in addressing large numbers of people.
