The Role:
To develop work instructions, policy and procedure for the use and forward development of the Process Control Automation Infrastructure. There will be a requirement to assist with planned and remedial support of Communication Networks in the Central North Sea Operating Unit as required. The overall scope includes, but is not limited to, IP technologies (Routing, switching, IDS/IPS, Firewall, LOS Radio, line of sight radio and satellite communications. Additionally the requirement also includes the support and interface to corporate IT support and other associated Upstream automation groups.
Ensure personal actions comply with all Legislative and Company Health safety and Environmental policies, promote Company culture amongst peer group, including system group written instructions.
Participate in training both onsite and offsite when requested to do so.
Conduct fault investigation and perform Loss Causation initial Investigation where required.
Ensure all relevant documentation and procedures are updated when changes are made and compliance with Compnay change control, IT Change Control and PES procedures.
Development of Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions to underpin Automation Infrastructure.
Carry out day-to-day activities under guidance of the Systems Leader and Telecommunication Technical Authority.
Ensure all work activities are completed in a timely fashion and upon completion is reported to the Systems Team Leader.
Provide accurate written reports of all work carried out to support the development of accurate technical histories and fault analysis.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Operational and technical knowledge of Safety, legislation and industry working practices
Technical Knowledge of Industry Standards, particularly ISA99, ISA27001, BS25777, UK CPNI GPG, AUS CIR Strategy etc
Demonstrate knowledge of the J-Block control, process and electrical systems and their interfaces and interdependencies.
Demonstrate knowledge of all Company and legislative policies and procedures.
Understand Company planning requirements.
Ability to work within the team and develop a team approach to problem solving and working including the integration of telecommunications staff.
Effectively communicate planning requirements to Systems Engineers and Section Leaders
Effectively communicate both internally within the team and externally throughout Company and its alliance partners.
Demonstrate good networking skills throughout the organisation
