Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Role

The primary role of the Wells RIG Subsea Lead is to provide the onshore preparation and support for offshore installation and pre-commissioning activities.

Responsibilities
• Promote safety in all aspects of onshore and offshore mobilization and de-mobilization of equipment to and from the RIG, supply vessel, planning and installation operations.
• Define and oversee the work plan, participate and lead the related onshore activity, preparation of SimOps between Rig, and other vessels safety programmes.
• Interface with Wells Subsea Team and be the focal point with D&C to ensure goals are aligned and deliverables are ready when needed.
• Provide training support of Angolan nationals to provide the future staff for subsea engineering roles.
• Liaison with the subsea facilities and operations team.
• Liaison with subsea contractor in Angola.
• To prepare installation procedures in sufficient detail to examine the potential risks and hazards involved during the installation activities.
• To support installation and construction activities by providing a knowledge based contact for coordination of offshore activity in support of operations.
• To identify and work concerns in order to deliver solutions to the offshore installation teams.

Essential criteria and qualifications

The ideal candidate would be experienced Wells RIG Subsea Lead with formal qualifications and specific experience in the subsea deepwater field, with the following,

• The industry experience level is normally 9 to 15 yrs.
• Academically qualified preferable to degree and/or professional status
• Can generate basic Statement of Requirements (SOR) & Basis of Design (BOD) outline for equipment used in SWE operations.
• Is familiar with and can interpret relevant Engineering Technical Practices (ETP’s), Guidance on Industry Standards (GIS’s) and Site Technical Practices (STP’s).
• Has good understanding of cross-discipline requirements for subsea well intervention planning and execution.
• Has participated in 3-5 subsea well operations
• Proven ability to organise and supervise offshore installation activity including overseeing third party service personnel and equipment preparation.
• Subsea installation and construction activity involving marine experience, including a working knowledge of subsea systems, including subsea trees, workover/intervention systems, ROV interfaces, etc.
• Familiarity with DP Vessel operations and guidelineless technology.
• Knowledge of subsea construction activities, including: jumper installation, survey techniques, ROV operations, etc.
• Proven ability to report and communicate instructions both verbally and written.
• Can act as offshore lead or assistant lead depending on experience for subsea wells operations.
• Participates in Peer Assists and Peer Reviews.
• Has good working knowledge of rig subsea systems (riser, blow out preventer (BOP), etc.)
• Well Control Certification
• Specific experience in the roles and responsibilities outlined above.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The role requires the successful candidate to have broad industry experience and possess knowledge of the design and operation of typical subsea equipment including trees, manifolds and connector systems, and the applicable subsea industry standards and practice. A thorough understanding of subsea materials, manufacturing methods, welding and quality processes is also required. Knowledge of the company standards and group practices is desirable.
