The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:

The primary role of the Wells Subsea Engineer is to provide the onshore preparation and continued support for offshore and installation activities.

• Promote safety in all aspects of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, testing, planning and operations.
• Define and oversee the work plan, participate and take a lead related to the Onshore bases, Rig / Vessel safety programmes.
• Interface with Wells Team to ensure goals are aligned and deliverables are ready when needed.
• Provide training support of Angolan nationals to provide the future staff for subsea engineering roles.
• Liaison with the subsea facilities construction team based at the contrator's fabrication sites.
• Liaison with subsea contractor in Angola.
• To prepare installation procedures in sufficient detail to examine the potential risks and hazards involved during the installation activities.
• To support installation and construction activities by providing a knowledge based contact for coordination of onshore activity in support of operations.
∙ To identify and work concerns in order to deliver solutions to the offshore installation teams.

Essential criteria and qualifications
The ideal candidate would be experienced Wells Subsea Engineer with formal qualifications and specific experience in the subsea deepwater field, with the following,

• The industry experience level is normally 3 to 10 yrs.
• Can generate basic Statement of Requirements (SOR) & Basis of Design (BOD) outline for equipment used in SWE operations.
• Is familiar with and can interpret relevant Engineering Technical Practices (ETP’s), Guidance on Industry Standards (GIS’s) and Site Technical Practices (STP’s).
• Has good understanding of cross-discipline requirements for subsea well intervention planning and execution.
• Has participated in 3-5 subsea well operations
• Can act as offshore lead or assistant lead depending on experience for subsea wells operations.
• Participates in Peer Assists and Peer Reviews.
• Has good working knowledge of rig subsea systems (riser, blow out preventer (BOP), etc.)
• Well Control Certification

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The role requires the successful candidate to have broad industry experience and possess knowledge of the design and operation of typical subsea equipment including trees, manifolds and connector systems, and the applicable subsea industry standards and practice. A thorough understanding of subsea materials, manufacturing methods, welding and quality processes is also required. Knowledge of the conpany standards and group practices is desirable.
