The Company:
A Major Oil and Gas Operator

The Role:
The successful applicant will be based onshore on client's operated sites within Angola, primarily Luanda Sonils base and occasionally at Soyo and other onshore fabrication sites. These positions will be on a 28/28 day rotational basis.

The primary role of the Wells Subsea Equipment Representative is to support the onshore preparation and mobilization of the Subsea portion of the offshore installation and XT Pre-commissioning activities.

• Assist Onshore Supervisor with supervision of all Vendor workshop activities including equipment refurbishment, maintenance and repair.
• Assist Onshore Supervisor with supervision of Vendor XT builds from Superkit’s.
• Review of Vendor equipment refurbishment, maintenance and repair procedures.
• Supervision of preparation of all equipment in readiness for mobilization.
• Preventative maintenance review of all procedures.
• Review of spares requirements and equipment location with the goal to improving efficiency of operations and planning.
• Liaise and work together with Vendor to schedule and manage Luanda workshop to maximise efficiency and ensure adequate resources & manpower planning is in place to allow suitable equipment preparation and contingency equipment availability to support the ongoing offshore campaign requirements.
• Assist Onshore Supervisor with closure of ALL equipment punch list items and equipment modifications.
• Liaising with offshore supervisors & Vendor Field Service.
• All while meeting safety, quality and performance requirements.
• Reporting to client and appropriate contractors HSSE personnel, dangerous acts or situation as observed during attendance at manufacturers and other locations, to ensure safe working practices.
• Demonstrate active HSSE Leadership & ensure 3rd party vendors complete client's Safety Induction and where applicable, are participating in the Safety Management / Control of Work Systems (risk assessments, permit to work etc).
• Liaise with SPS Inspectors to ensure inspection requirements are addressed.
• Co-ordinate with and assist other SPS team members to address situations where QA/QC has identified non-compliances and ensure suitable solutions.
• Co-ordinate with Main contractors and their subcontractors Quality Management to ensure implementation of their QM system.
• Attend PPMs at main and subcontractors premises to ensure client requirements are suitably addressed.
• Issue IRNs to manufacturers for items formally handed over to client.
• Issue punch list with agreed punch list items to ensure outstanding items are identified and recoded.
• Populating GOC system with CofC’s, IRNs and Punch Lists, as appropriated.
• Review and comment on project documentation relating to quality and manufacturing processes including, ITPs, manufacturing Plans, weld procedures, NDE procedures, painting/coating procedures etc.
• Review and approval of manufacturers submitted DDRs.
• Monitoring/witnessing of manufacturing and testing of products to demonstrate compliance with agreed requirements.
• Review of manufacturing records, data packs, reports and MRBs produced by manufacturers.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would be experienced Offshore Wells Subsea Supervisors, with formal qualifications and specific experience in the subsea deepwater field, with the following,

 Experience of BP or a similar organisation.
 The industry experience level is normally 3 to 10 yrs.
 Academically qualified preferable to degree and/or professional status or alternative technical certification and demonstrable competencies
 Can generate basic Statement of Requirements (SOR) & Basis of Design (BOD) outline for equipment used in SWE operations.
 Is familiar with and can interpret relevant Engineering Technical Practices (ETP’s), Guidance on Industry Standards (GIS’s) and Site Technical Practices (STP’s).
 Has good understanding of cross-discipline requirements for subsea well intervention planning and execution.
 Has participated in 3-5 subsea well operations
 Participates in Peer Assists and Peer Reviews.
 Has good working knowledge of subsea systems

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The role requires the successful candidate to have broad industry experience and possess knowledge of the design and operation of typical subsea equipment including trees, manifolds and connector systems, and the applicable subsea industry standards and practice. A thorough understanding of subsea materials, manufacturing methods, welding and quality processes is also required. Knowledge of BP standards and group practices is desirable.
