The Role:
Role:

To be the focal point in charge of leading effective planning activities and ensuring safe delivery of Project OOG (out of gauge) and SOOG ( super out of gauge) cargoes from global points of origin to Project Site and Fabrication Yards located in Kazakhstan and Korea.

Accountable for:

This position reports to the Delivery Manager PFF, acting as the focal point for all OOG & SOOG matters within the Freight Forwarding Team, ensuring:
The OOG & SOOG movement plan is developed, maintained, and communicated to all scope owners from a technical perspective
A robust linkage exists between Freight Forwarding Team, Logistic Group and scope owners to ensure that the OOG & SOOG items are all moved in accordance with DGP policy and procedures
Direct coordination with the scope owners/delivery managers and engineers on the all matters relating to OOG & SOOG cargoes

Responsibilities:

Tasks will include, but not be limited to:
Report to Project Delivery Manger PFF and perform all duties as a key member Project Freight Forwarding team
Review and endorse Project Freight Forwarders plans and method statements
Interface with Project Marine warranty surveyors
Development and monitoring of the logistics strategy plans and procedures for OOG & SOOG equipment by all modes of transport (sea / river / road / rail /air)
Development and monitoring of the logistics Heavy Lift plans and procedures for OOG & SOOG equipment
Identify Heavy Lift and Transport needs including the selection of cranes / road trailers / rail transporters / sea vessels and lifting tackle
Review and endorse vendor supplied lift / transport plans and rigging arrangements
Review and endorse freight forwarder heavy lift manuals
Attend Procurement bid clarification meetings and kick off meetings
Attend site visits to vendor locations and load out locations
Attend and witness load out, load in and Transhipment activities of vendor
Supplied OOG & SOOG Equipment
Work closely with the cross-functional teams i.e. HSE engineering, fabrication and construction to implement, resolve logistics requirements
Management of Heavy Lift operations and assets throughout the supply chain
Commits to and champions implementation of a safe working environment for everyone on the project and the continuing establishment of an incident and injury free culture
Act as a member of the project team supporting engineering, construction, business and operations functions
Coordinate with project team members, SBUSCM, project partners and the ECPm contractor to develop strategies and tactics which maximises commercial opportunities in support of project business drivers.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Years of Industry Specific Experience: 5 years preferable in O&G (Not essential)
Minimum Years of Total Experience: 5-10
High level of competence in AutoCad, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel
Strong communication and written skills
Ability to work unsupervised
Team Player
Preferred Skills/Attributes:
Previous working experience of logistics / Heavy lift operations in CIS Countries
Preferred experience Oil and Gas Industry, EPC or similar, Marine, Land operations or Freight Forwarding
Comments: passport/visa requirements etc
Right of residency and able to work in UK
Valid passport
Ability to travel overseas regularly
